Not luxury, but good locationPosted Aug 30, 2014
Pros: The location is very good. It is a good idea to stay on this side of the pedestrian bridge because the other side can get noisy at night.
Cons: The overall condition of the place could be better. Replace the old worn out carpeting and the drop ceiling and light fixtures. Upgrade the bedding.
Location: The location is across the pedestrian bridge from the shops and restaurants at Boothbay Harbor. It is about an hour away from Camden.
Here's the good: The hotel is located across the harbor from the pedestrian bridge from shops, restaurants and night life. The hotel staff is nice and friendly. The free breakfast is very good. The rooms seemed quiet. Here's the bad: There is no elevator to the second floor and you should expect to drag your luggage up there by yourself, the facilities look like they haven't been updated in years, the hot water took forever to heat up to take a shower, there are dead bugs in the fluorescent light fixtures in the hallways. The front desk closes at 8. Expedia said refrigerators and microwaves would be an extra fee, but they came with the room for free.

Two night stay at Boothbay Harbor InnPosted Aug 29, 2014
Pros: Best Lobster soup I've ever had, very pleasant Guest Relations staff, fabulous view of Boothbay Harbor ...
Cons: Small bar fridge is sitting on the floor in front of a table which is only big enough for the microwave. This set-up could certainly be improved.
Location: Inn is situated across the water from downtown Boothbay Harbor which is a short walk via a beautiful 1900s era foot bridge.
Great waterfront location, two stories (without elevators), excellent restaurant on the premises, or a short walk across a nearby pedestrian bridge into the downtown area. Very nice toiletries but we had to ask Guest Relations to speak to the housekeeper for our room to clean the bathroom floor. They apologised and the next day, bathroom floor was properly cleaned. There is ample free parking, free Wifi worked well, and we had a nice little balcony with partial water views. A pleasant Inn and one we would not hesitate to stay at again!

Great Location!Posted Aug 27, 2014
Pros: Convenience to downtown. Price good. Nice breakfast. Quiet.
Cons: Beds could be a little more comfortable, other than that great.
Location: Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens! Lighthouses, restaurants. nice walks. Kayaks, paddleboards and sailing. Lots of cruises to choose from.
The water views from our room facing the bay were fantastic. especially sunset. There is a foot bridge right outside the inn in order cross the water to the many restaurants, shops, and art galleries of downtown Boothbay Harbor. Check out Downeast Ice Cream Factory for make your own sundaes! This is not a fancy hotel, but was confortable, clean and quiet. didn't notice many little kids around and only one teen while we were there. Good, hot complimentary breakfast. Would recommend this place as a good launching pad for couples and families with older kids.

close to neat little shopping areaPosted Aug 25, 2014
Pros: close to shopping
Satisfactory room. An older hotel but very clean. Just outside of hotel a few feet was a wooden bridge which took you to a shopping area with stores and good places to eat.

Nice hotel close to the footbridge.Posted Aug 24, 2014
Pros: Location and breakfast buffet.
Great experience at the Boothbay Harbor Inn. The breakfast bufet in the morning was amazing and it was included in the cost of the room! The location was perfect, right next to the footbridge to get into downtown to the docks to get to the boating adventures, shopping and great food!

Great location!Posted Aug 21, 2014
Pros: Location, location, location. Friendly front desk staff. Breakfast included.
Cons: Public areas of the hotel need updating. Dining room needs experienced staff
Location: Boothbay Harbor visits will be much more complete if a visitor includes a boat excursion to see the area from the water. Schooner trip was relaxing!
This hotel is aging, but work has been done to improve the rooms and bathrooms. Public areas don't appear to have received updates yet. The complimentary breakfast included hot items and is served in a nice dining room with a wonderful view of the harbor. Dinner offerings are competitively priced and pretty good. The waitstaff seemed to be turning over, and we had some pleasant, but inexperienced waiters. Boothbay Harbor Inn is adjacent to the footbridge to town. Park your car and walk to town! Some of the excursion boats pick up passengers at the hotel dock. Location makes this hotel competitive with even more upscale hotels that aren't within walking distance.
