Nice hotel right on the riverfront.

Posted Jun 24, 2014
I made a last minute booking, and everything was great, especially the staff. Not a particularly modern hotel, but comfortable. Be aware though, Boppard is not car friendly in the old town, and you must prebook the hotel's limited spaces. Street parking is only 4 euros a day though, if you can find a nearby spot that allows it (each car park has different rules).

Wonderful hotel!

Pros: The old style of the hotel
Cons: Overpriced breakfast
Location: Great!
We absolutely loved the hotel! Great location. The artwork and furnishings in the public areas were amazing! We had a lovely room that overlooked the river with a small balcony. We sat outside even in the freezing weather. We had dinner in the restuarant which was lovely. The only reason I gave it a 4 was that the breakfast was really overpriced. 22.00 euros is way too high!

nice hotel but limited parking

Posted Sep 19, 2012
Pros: Gorgeous get the feeling of going back in time to the most glamorous hotel in town
Cons: limited parking, have to have reservation for parking, and the price of breakfast
Location: Location is fantastic, it is right on the river and across from the boat docks if you are planning to take a cruise too
We were only there one night so didn't get to experience a lot of it, but really enjoyed the little we were there.... however there were 2 things I did not care for.... Parking is limited and you have to reserve a spot in the garage if you want it, otherwise you risk having to park a 15 minute walk away... and when I checked in and wanted to pay right away they were going to charge me for breakfast, I had to tell them I didn't want breakfast, it was 11 Euro a person that is around $13... otherwise the hotel was very nice

Boppard stopover

Posted Jul 21, 2010
Hotel is situated in an ideal location. We had a room with balcony overlooking the busy river with its continuing stream of barges and river boats. On the other side of the river a steady stream of trains winding its way along the tracks. The town of Boppard is a charming town with cobblestone streets, nice small restaurants and quite an array of shops. Over the years we have made this a stop on trips to and from other European destinations and are still enjoying the town and surrounding areas.

Good value

Very nice hotel in lovely village. Staff was very accommodating. It may be worth paying extra for a room which faces the river. We were on the back of the hotel and the early morning garbage trucks and neighbors were rather noisy.

Great Location - under renovation

Posted May 4, 2009 on Hotels.com
The Bellevue (Best Western) is a beautiful hotel in a great spot in Boppard. It is a very convenient location. The only rooms available were town view rooms. Unfortunately our room overlooked only scaffolds and tarps. If you do book a room here be aware of the renovations which look to take a long time. The staff were great, and it really is a beautiful hotel.

Will definately go back

We will definately use the same hotel again. I would say the Bellevue is a top class hotel and probably one of the best in the area. Great position straight on to the Rhine with the boats stopping within yards of the hotel.

Excellent hotel - right on the Rhine

Posted Jul 5, 2008
Very good stay in this hotel. Used both restaurants, the terrace and the garden. Food in Le Chopin was very good - other restaurants just good. Rooms were very clean and had all amenities. Didn't realise that our room didn't have air conditioning until after we got there as some do and some don't. However, the room stayed reasonably cool despite the heat outside. The staff were all friendly and helpful. There are boat stations right outside the hotel and the rail station is an easy walk.
