Delightful family-run hotel in a quiet locationPosted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: Friendly, helpful owners and a good location.
Cons: The car park is small, and doesn't always have space (though the owner shifted his car to make room for us). Rooms are also on the small side.
Location: Rhine Gorge boat-trips; Marksburg, Burg Rheinfels & Burg Eltz castles ; Rudesheim's Mechanical Music Museum, lovely old towns especially Oberwesel.
The hotel is located in a quiet leafy suburb, a pleasant 15-20 minute stroll along the Rhine from the centre of Boppard. The English-speaking owner was extremely friendly and helpful in accommodating the needs of our family. There are nice touches like a selection of toys to keep small children amused at meal-times. The hotel itself offers a decent cold breakfast buffet, and snack meals through the day, as well as providing good value packed lunches. There are also a couple of excellent restaurants in the locality, and many more in Boppard itself. Rooms were a little on the small side, but clean and well-maintained. Boppard itself is a charming little town with easy access to all the attractions of the Rhine Gorge. All in all this hotel made a great base for a family holiday.

simple but lovely hotel.Posted Jul 1, 2014
Pros: very friendly staff, spoke very good english, good advise on local areas, and gave us a map and marked where we were looking for.
Cons: tea and coffee facilities in the room.
Location: little out the way off a side road, however lovely and peaceful.
one night stay on the way home. simple hotel rooms, no coffee in the room, but bottle of water supplied. lovely buffet breakfast provided in the price with good selection of foods. both English and European.

Friendly, great family stayPosted Apr 6, 2014 on Hotels.com
We were welcomed promptly, had everything we needed, including a balcony room, comfy beds, and clean room. The breakfast was tasty and filling. We would stay again, if we head that way again. There were hiking trails within steps of the hotel door, waterfront shops and restaurants within walking distance. Jan was gracious, and gave us a map and overview of the area. Depending on the amount of time you have for a hike, he'll let you know which trail to take. It was a lovely hotel.

Great for walkersPosted Sep 9, 2012 on Hotels.com
This hotel is on the north side of the village so easy for walkers doing the Rhinehohenweg - you walk nearly past the door! Bit of a trek into town for a meal, but fab Weinstubb just opposite the Railwaystation for a pre dinner drink. Good breakfast for setting you up for a day's walking.
