“Heaven on Earth”

The resort is amazing! I stayed in an over-the-water villa which I would highly recommend. The villas are air conditioned, very comfortable, and beautifully decorated. Being able to jump off of your deck into the water is priceless. Tropical fish swim all around your deck and it's like having your own private aquarium. The staff at the Hilton are wonderful! Although the resort was booked to capacity, the personal attention I received made me feel like I was the only one there. While the Hilton could improve on the food in their restaurants and be a little less stingy with the alcohol in their drinks, everything else was absolutely wonderful. FYI - No need to pack adapters, ponchos, snorkel/mask, a beach towel; all of that is provided for you. Free kayak rentals as well. A free shuttle service back and forth to the main island is also provided (unless you go at 2 particular peak times, then there's a fee, ie: 6pm. The shuttle ran frequently enough that I never needed to use it during peak times; however). Overall, a wonderful vacation! I can't wait to go back!

“Bora Bora's Best”

The resort is absolutely beautiful and exclusive. The resorts boat-ferry service to the main island was very efficient and much better than what we heard guests from other proporties staying about their available service. We would definitely stay here again.

“Honeymoon in Paradise”

From the moment you get off the boat from the airport, the service we received was top-notch. We were greeted with a refreshing juice drink while we waited for our luggage to be unloaded and our check-in was processed. Once we were checked-in, we were wisked away to our room on a golf cart. Our guide was very helpful and gave us a tour of our room. The staff was friendly and helpful, and made every effort to answer your questions. Our room was an over-the-water bungalow, and it was spectacular. The room was clean, and the best room we've ever stayed in at any hotel. The bed was big and comfortable. The bathroom was clean and bright. The only nit we had on the room was that the TV in the living room was an older, 20in tube TV. It just didn't fit with the rest of the decor and design of the room. The outside patio and furniture were big and comfortable, and perfect for watching the sun set over the clear blue waters. The food at the resort was very good, although a little pricey. It's to be expected since everything needs to be imported in. We also attended one of the buffets and we were overwhelmed by the amount and variety of food. While very tasty, the buffet courses were pretty basic, and not quite up to our expectation of the price for the buffet. Sometimes, the wait staff was inattentive, but was friendly once you got their attention. Overall, our experience was excellent. We can't wait to come back and stay at the Hilton again.

“Bora Bora Vacation”

Hotel was gorgeous and well-maintained. Staff frequently greeted us by name, even though we were only there 5 nights. Highly recommend staying in an overwater bungalow - snorkeling off bungalow was excellent. I disagree with other traveler who complained about Hobie cat - while a staff member does need to take you out (reasonable, considering they don't know who is capable of sailing it!), the staff member took us way out, close to the reef. Only downfall to hotel was housekeeping - they did a good job cleaning things tracked in, however, we had to request clean glasses for 3 days before they finally brought them! We stayed at an Intercontinental our last night in Papeete, it didn't even compare and just left us missing this hotel (and Bora Bora!).

“Everything was great, with the exception of the restaurant.”

This property is a gem, with a great staff and well maintained grounds. But there is one big problem. The only choice for evening dining was the hotel restaurant, and it was not good. A bland, uninspired menu and mediocre service puts a damper on an otherwise perfect day in paradise. After two nights, we found ourselves on the shuttle boat, and found several delightful places to eat. This caliber of resort should maintain a top notch dining experience throughout the entire day, not just breakfast.

“Hilton experience”

Really nice hotel, no another opinion for this price and level. Of cause some service and food overpriced. For example the hotel night restaurant food is soso, better going to island for dinner. Breakfast no so wide as we wished. But any case we enjoyed our stay in garden villa.

“So so”

We were there for 12 nights. The beds are very comfortable. The condition of our rooms and other guests we visited with was not nearly perfect. The thin fabric canopy over the bed was torn in several places. The hardwood floor had many gouges. The glass doors to the deck were very hard to copen/close. Most windows were missing screens (big prob for mosquitos and lizzards if not overwater). Air conditioner noisy and not able to keep room very cool. Cleaning staff very inconsistent if time and thoroughness. Resturaunts VERY expensive and food not very good. Also, evrything is closed down by 9pm. They charge 500xpf an hour for in-room internet. The free internet workstations were old, virus-ladden, very slow and 'quirky'! You had to be escorted by the beach staff to use the hobie cat, and had to stay right in front of the hotel. That said, the snorkling right off the beach was fantastic. The reception area had a fish viewing area that was like a huge aquarium viewed from above, tons of trobical fish hanging out all the time. There's a moray eel who makes his home right off the boat shuttle dock. And the staff is very friendly.
