Great location, in relation to downtownPosted Sep 28, 2013
Pros: Location, price, helpful staff
Location: Do yourself a favour, and go check out the Place de la Victoire, just down the street. It leas on to Rue Sainte Catherine, which is also very cool.
The location was great - a short walk to a pretty nifty town square, and within walking distance to the old downtown area. Hotel staff were very friendly, and helpful, and spoke English quite well. The state of cleanliness left a little to be desired, but the price and location were good. The particular room I stayed in was quite a bit like a tiny apartment, completely with a tiny kitchen (with dishes!). It would definitely be suitable for longer stays.

Very disappointing - glad we only stayed 1 nightPosted Aug 18, 2013
Pros: Very friendly reception staff.
Cons: Most things about the room, and the mud on the stairs and floor of the reception area.
Location: Within easy walk of the city centre, but the road you have to walk along to reach the edge of the central area is not a pleasant one.
The one positive aspect of our stay at this hotel was the friendliness of the reception staff. Our family room was, however, very disappointing for the following reasons: it was dark with small windows looking on to a shabby roof; two of us had to share an uncomfortable sofa bed; there was a lot of (dog?) hair on the sofa cushions; both bathroom and kitchenette were old and shabby; the kitchenette had no cutlery and virtually no crockery (not even cups to allow us to have a hot drink!). In addition, the floors of the shared areas (stairs and reception area) were very muddy.

excellent value! home from homePosted Jul 28, 2013 on Hotels.com
We choose apartment hotels to have the ability to cook when travelling, for healthy food and budget. We loved this place, so much so that we stayed another night. We had a 3 rd floor room which had a inclined roof window, that had no direct neighbouring look in, and had a view to the church. Room had AC. Having a kitchen means no need to buy breakfast, so I can't rate that. We did not need to use the parking(€6 per day), as there is enough parking in the side streets. For animal lovers there are several very friendly cats that live around the yard, they are keen for a pat. Also note the city casino supermarket just 50m back towards the centre of town, handy and cheap enough. Finally there is also the city bike depot just across the street too, bike hire for €1 per day if you are smart...

Looking for positives but, AWFUL!Posted Jun 20, 2013 on Hotels.com
Positives - polite staff and plenty of parking. All negatives from here on I'm afraid. Public areas very shabby. Bedroom stank of cigarette smoke and all surfaces appeared to be nicotine stained - didn't want to touch anything. Didn't even want my dirty clothes to touch any surface. Most things broken or unusable. The kitchenette -- ughhhh! Had to get some flip flops so that I could walk on the floors without shoes. I did ask if we would be charged a cancellation if we checked out and was told 'yes' so decided to stick it out. Couldn't get away soon enough come day break. After handing over almost 100 Euros including parking I certainly had not inclination to pay another 10 each for breakfast. Location is in a very run down area of the city about 40 mins walk from the centre. Maybe we we just unlucky but I did ask if they had a better room and was told that ours was the best. I rest my case.

A real disappointmentPosted Jun 17, 2013
Pros: On-site parking and own cooking facilities.
Cons: Unhelpful staff
Location: Reasonable for access to the city centre.
This was our third stay at this hotel and was a disappointment compared to the first two stays. We had a room in the annex this time, which was relatively noisy at times. On the plus side were size of room, parking on-site and cooking facilities. However, on the negative side: there was only one chair which was in poor condition, the floor was not clean, the kettle was unsafe (and the person on reception was unhelpful, suggesting we use the microwave instead), and part of the shower facility in the bathroom was missing.

Not a good place to stayPosted Jun 15, 2013
The hotel is dirty, the reception desk is closed during the day. There is no place to leave luggage.

Good for the price. The ladies working at the reception spoke English and they were nice. The phone was not working in the room but everything else looked good and clean
