This is an oasis of luxury in the countryside near Bordeaux that manages to be relaxing and comfortable without being pretentious. There’s really nothing else nearby except vineyards, but that’s the point.

You tell a mile off that this hotel is privately owned, the staff are so attentive, lovely smell of jasmine essential oil in reception the lovely warm welcome to your room. Ours was a ground floor apartment in the beautiful peaceful courtyard where we had a lovely welcome glass of vino and a tour of their wonderful collection of wines in the amazing cellar. Reading books and drinking wine you forget you are very central to this amazing cosmopolitan city. Bikes are an absolute must at £1.20 a day for site seeing, with bike lanes everywhere and the fact it's nice and flat when you are a novice - bonus! Would we stay again, absolutely without doubt.

"Excellent Budget Hotel In the Center of Bordeaux!"
This hotel was perfect for us. The price was very low, the front desk was extremely nice, the room, while small, was completely sufficient for our needs, and it was right in the center of Bordeaux! The location can't be beat. Wish we had stayed another night.

"A touch of luxury in the best location in Bordeaux"
Fantastic welcome from the uniformed doormen who couldn't have been more helpful during our stay. This is comfort and luxury old-style. The location couldn't be better - next to a tram stop and in the best square in Bordeaux. The buffet breakfast is pricy but there is a lot of choice and the view from the window onto the square makes up for it. The bedroom was small, facing onto an inner courtyard which did give some daylight. Bed and pillows v comfortable - slept for 9 hours. Note for Brits: no kettle but there is a Nespresso machine.
