Wonderful stay! Was close to many wine Chateaux and was a beautiful hotel. Well worth the money if you are in the region.

Overall we enjoyed our stay. Something to note is that the Chateau is not close to anything, so plan to have meals there. Dinner was good (not outstanding), and breakfast was just ok (buffet was not refilled and there is little to no staff helping out). Strangely there are signs everywhere saying 'No food in room!' Weird. There is no lift, so while we enjoyed our view of the grounds from the third floor anyone with difficulty walking would want to ensure they booked something on the lower floor. Our biggest inconvenience is that the weather was quite warm and our room had no air conditioning, so we didn't sleep well. The staff we did deal with were very friendly, and if you are interested in wine tasting in this area you should stay the night here.

No lift made climbing the stairs with luggage difficult. Restaurant closed on Monday, we had difficulty getting back into the hotel as well when we returned in the early evening. Staff were great. Could have used additional soap and towels in the room.

Room with a ViewPosted Nov 17, 2012 on Hotels.com
We stayed a total of two nights and wished we were able to stay longer. Although our stay was in early October and the weather was somewhat overcast and gray, we truly enjoyed everything about Chateau Pomys. If you are looking for a full service hotel with every amenity this is not the place for you. However, if you enjoy doing your own thing and having great privacy, it is the perfect place to be. Everywhere you look the surrounding countryside is spectacular and a day trip to St. Emilion is an absolute must.
