Classic older hotel.

Good for the price. Exhorbitant Boston hotel prices because of convention. Half as expensive as Westin or Sheraton and just as well located. If you are looking for safe comfortable quiet place to sleep, this fits the bill.

Clean hotel near where I was going for two nights.

Posted May 9, 2015
Pros: The location for me and the staff was accomodating
Cons: The room I had was dated with older furniture. Also, no wifi in the rooms hurts for business stay purposes.
Location: Location was good for what I needed to do for two days in the Copley area. Plenty to do for leisure travelers without question.
Staff nice, hotel clean, but dated. Good price compared to other local hotels near Copley area of Boston.

Malfunction door

Posted May 9, 2015
Pros: free breakfast (bagels and orange juice)
Cons: everything, wifi connection, etc
Location: hynes convention center
We had our card key but the door malfunction and no one was available to assist us. The reception was rude and "engineering" department was no where to be found. We waited for almost 2 hours and then finally another mechanic from another hotel came over to break down our door. Little did we know that there was no other available that was equivalent to what we paid for. The reception was so rude and stated "this is not a free hotel. What do you expect? Free parking?" then she smirked.

Pros: Location.
Cons: There was some maintenance stuff that needed to be done, e.g., woodwork paint, some bathroom tile needed replacement.
Location: A block south of Copley Square, within a block of T station and bus stops; numerous restaurants within walking distance, lots of shopping at both the
All we needed was a clean enough, comfortable enough place to lay our heads, and that's what we got. Location was good, which was more important to us. Price was consistent with what we got, relative to typical rates in other more upscale hotels in the vicinity. Staff was most courteous and helpful. Continental breakfast was fine....nothing fancy.

Inexpensive option downtown Boston

Posted May 3, 2015
Pros: Price, location and facilities
Location: Downtown Boston, block from Boylston. T green line very close.
Stayed 5 nights for a work related trip. Nice room, firm (good) bed and nice sheets. TV and internet connection in room (Wi-Fi). Older room with the bathroom fixtures showing wear, but functioned great. Good water pressure in shower and hot water. Did not try the included breakfast.

central to fenway and sight seeing

Posted May 3, 2015
Pros: very central and liked having a security guard at front door at night
Cons: rooms need renovating badly
Location: close to all sight seeing. Fenway is about a 20 minute walk. Shopping is close by also.
Hotel is very central. Easy walk to fenway. Hotel needs renovating. Bathrooms are not very nice. Bed was comfortable and we requested a fridge. Hotel staff were very nice and accomodating. Not much of a selection for breakfast.

Good location for Back Bay part of Boston.

Posted Apr 30, 2015
Pros: Close to where we wanted to go. The parking garage is just steps away.
Location: For what we wanted it for the hotel was good. Close to shopping and restaurants on Boylston and Newbury streets. Fenway Park only a mile away.
The room was very small. Only had a Queen size bed that took up most of the space in the room. Very good shower. The room was very clean and the person at the desk was extremely help with where to go and what to do and see.

Central location, rooms are TINY

Posted Apr 28, 2015
Pros: The staff was up to par.
Cons: Clean your sheets more thoroughly, get mini-fridges, offer complimentary water bottles
I stayed in April for 3 nights. The lobby is beautiful and the staff members were all welcoming and kind. They let us check in several hours early which is a huge plus. The room was smaller than most dorm rooms. I have never stayed in a hotel for over $100 a night that was barely bigger than a dorm room. But this hotel is pretty much the cheapest place to stay in the city and has one of the best locations. I would stay here again for price and convenience. Logan-Copley Shuttle for $5 goes directly from the airport to Copley Square and arrives every 20 minutes. A quick note on room cleanliness: The place is old. It could have been a little cleaner or more updated. The sheets were not comfortable at all.

Great location, great staff!

Posted Apr 22, 2015
The hotel is in a great location just steps from Trinity church and about a 10 min walk from the common. The hotel is a little old fashioned especially in the rooms but everything works and it's great value for what you're paying, especially with free breakfast and wifi (which is a bit temperamental in the rooms). Cannot fault the staff, they were welcoming, warm and eager to help out with ideas for eating and entertainment. Will definitely be coming back!!
