Close to Fenway

Posted Apr 22, 2014
Pros: Proximity to attractions and events.
Cons: I think the experience with the Fenmore restaurant may have been improved with speedier and more attentive service.
Location: Baseball, shopping, sight seeing.
The convenience to Fenway Park was almost worth the price. The hotel's restaurant was not very good. The food was so-so, but the staff were incredibly slow. The hotel room's decor and furnishings were outdated and dinged up. The room itself was clean, though.

Good hotel but needs some improvements

Posted Apr 17, 2014
Pros: Location- antiquity-
Cons: Elevators- TV set in room
The room was clean and spacious. It has all what you need for a short stay: mini fridge, microwave, iron and table, hair dryer, safe, tv though little old. I liked the furniture too, very classic and different than the typical hotel room furniture. The staff is ok but some of them are not so friendly but they don't make problems anyway. There is just one elevator and it is very old, you may wait for some minutes. The hotel is close to Boston commons and theatre district (I can say a walking distance). Also not so far from MIT and Harvard.

Positive overall experience

Posted Apr 17, 2014
We had a terrible time parking because the garage designated for the hotel was being crammed to capacity with red sox game- goers, but the staff was very nice and our room was spacious and clean. Also within walking distance to the House of Blues and other venues/attractions/restaurants.

The hotel was very nice, the room was incredible. I booked a king size room and when I went to check in they upgraded me to a suite! The staff was incredibly nice and the restaurant downstairs had a good breakfast.

Patience required

Posted Apr 15, 2014
Pros: Comfortable beds. Restaurant in building.
Cons: Room keys! Horrible!
Location: Fenway Park
Hotel evacuation in the middle of the night due to false fire alarm kicked off our stay. Magnetic stripe room keys that never worked and had to be replaced at least once a day. Beds very comfortable. Restaurant in building is very convenient. Good location.

Can't get any closer to Fenway.

Posted Apr 15, 2014
Pros: Location.
Cons: Restaurant staffing.
Location: Really close to Fenway, easy access to other locations by MTA.
Nice hotel, convenient to ballpark and MTA. Food at hotel restaurant was surprisingly good quality, even if the place seemed a bit understaffed at times. Easy to get anywhere by subway, including to and from the airport. I'd stay again.

Boutique hotel near Fenway Park

Posted Apr 12, 2014
Pros: Charm
It's an old-fashioned hotel that's been carefully maintained. It doesn't have some of the amenities of more modern hotel, such as a counter by the sink. The hotel staff were especially warm and helpful. It's within walking distance of some great restaurants. Room prices more reasonable then downtown Boston hotels.

Neat feel. wish knew more about history.

Posted Apr 9, 2014
Pros: Coziness. Nothing elaborate but what history we could gather from staff was intriguing. Close proximity to Fenway Park, colleges & the Trolly tour
Cons: Complamentery coffee/breakfast. Had no reception on the tv, no major channels and sound was distorted
Was able t o take a trolly tour starting very close to the hotel that was very convenient and informative. Was able to just walk to Fenway and enjoy the ambiance of the park go to the room to rest before the game with no transpotation expense or hustle and bustle
