“Convienant to Fenway”
A short overnight stay but all was excellent even the continental breakfast..
“For Red Sox nation out of Towners”
Close to Fenway Park, could see it out our window! Great breakfast.
“Three Nights, Would Stay Again”
Great room, saw Fenway from the big window in my room. Bed was crazy comfortable.
“Great Hotel in a Great Location”
While the Hotel Buckminster is a little older than the average hotel, they keep things very clean and have all the amenities you might need. Plus it is in a great location, very close to the Kenmore stop on the T (subway). The staff was really friendly and everything was kept very neat around the hotel. The room I had was the perfect amount of space with the bedroom separated from a small living area. Granted the furniture and appliances were a bit outdated but everything was comfortable and clean. I would definitely stay here again, it was nice being in a place that had history in Boston and wasn't just another cookie-cutter hotel. Again, great location too!
“A good choice”
The hotel is an old building so it does not look wonderful and it has a small, slow lift, but it is friendly, and the rooms are clean and well kept. Boston is an expensive city but this hotel was very reasonable. There are two decent restaurants in the same building. The subway station is nearby and it is only a few stops from down-town Boston. I would stay there again.
“Great place to stay in Boston”
The Hotel is so centrally located to Boston University it was a pleasure!!! The staff was extremely accommodating and cooperative.
“Convenient to Boston University”
The convenience to Boston University (BU) and visiting my daughter who is a student at BU made this a good choice. The hotel is functional and well located. The continental breakfast was convenient and adequate. Not fancy but served the purpose.
“great value hotel”
although it was a pretty inexpensive hotel it turned out to be good. it's conveniently located 1 block away of the T and lots of places to eat. the service is great and breakfast is included. the rooms aren't perfect but it's a great value for what you pay. the hotel is pet friendly you just have to pay the fee which makes it really convenient for people traveling with pets. the only downfall is that they don't have parking spots for guests but there's a parking lot right next to the hotel that has a discounted rate for hotel guests. I would definitely go back and highly recommend it if you're on a tight budget.
“The price is right”
Not the fanciest or best furnished place, but the beds were comfortable, clean & cozy. Windows were updated and kept out the cold. This is an old hotel that has seen too many remodels. TV's are tiny, and lighting is not the best. But the central heat system was fine and quiet (not the window mounted blowers), hot water adequate & everything generally clean. Upon arrival we were upgraded to a double room, which was heaven to the non-snorer. Great location right next to BU & subway line. Staff friendly & helpful.
“Good for students' travel and business trip”
While decent hotels in this area are expensive, this one is quite reasonable. The front men were kind and serious, the room was clean and the breakfast was not so bad. So those who want only cleanliness and safety would be satisfied by this one.
