Can't get any closer to Fenway.

Posted Apr 15, 2014
Pros: Location.
Cons: Restaurant staffing.
Location: Really close to Fenway, easy access to other locations by MTA.
Nice hotel, convenient to ballpark and MTA. Food at hotel restaurant was surprisingly good quality, even if the place seemed a bit understaffed at times. Easy to get anywhere by subway, including to and from the airport. I'd stay again.

Boutique hotel near Fenway Park

Posted Apr 12, 2014
Pros: Charm
It's an old-fashioned hotel that's been carefully maintained. It doesn't have some of the amenities of more modern hotel, such as a counter by the sink. The hotel staff were especially warm and helpful. It's within walking distance of some great restaurants. Room prices more reasonable then downtown Boston hotels.

Neat feel. wish knew more about history.

Pros: Coziness. Nothing elaborate but what history we could gather from staff was intriguing. Close proximity to Fenway Park, colleges & the Trolly tour
Cons: Complamentery coffee/breakfast. Had no reception on the tv, no major channels and sound was distorted
Was able t o take a trolly tour starting very close to the hotel that was very convenient and informative. Was able to just walk to Fenway and enjoy the ambiance of the park go to the room to rest before the game with no transpotation expense or hustle and bustle

A nice hotel ...

Posted Apr 7, 2014
Boyfriend and I stayed here for 2 nights April 2014. I'm not sure the reason, but we were upgraded to a junior suite which had a king-size bed and was a "corner room". We thought the staff were great, the room comfortable, the bed amazing, the location convenient. I loved that it was a half-block from Starbuck's and the T station. It is located at a very busy intersection, so you shouldn't expect it to be perfectly quiet. I am accustomed to it being very quiet at night, but still was not bothered by traffic noise. If I am in Boston again, I will definitely stay here again.

Great location for Back Bay

Posted Mar 21, 2014
Pros: Location and older building; staff were great; food in restaurant was surprisingly good. There was a small fridge and microwave in the room.
Cons: Just fine the way it was. Beds & easy chair were modern and clean.
Location: Fenway Park, walk pretty much everywhere else or get Mass transit.
This classic older hotel had a comfortable bed, clean tiles in the bathroom, & simple furnishings. I slept very well and thought the front office staff were very helpful and friendly. The food in the downstairs restaurant was quite good and I am fairly picky! I noted that some of the passageways were a little narrow for stairs or getting into the shower, but it wasn't a problem for me. For others who may have strollers or physical limitations, it may be tricky.

Great Location

Perfect location if going to a Red Sox game or see to see a show at the House of Blues. Right next to a T stop and a tasty restaurant! Rooms are old but unique and hey, it's an old building.

Good place for just a night

Posted Mar 16, 2014
Went to a Dropkick Murphys show at the House of Blues. Easy walk, very secure. The building is an old historical hotel, but still good for a one night stay. Wouldn't spend a week here. Great location to the T and obviously Fenway. The Fenmore resteraunt in the hotel has great food, but only beer and wine.
