great hotel near backbay

Posted Mar 23, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: Elevator system
Location: Right near Backbay and the financial district. Lots of great restaurants and things to see.
Lovely stay. Every staff member was helpful and friendly. The only issue we had was the new elevator system was very confusing. Great location connected to the Prudential Center shops. Convenient and close to all sights in Boston.

Pros: close to a lot of entertainment great for vacation or business a few of the major convention enters near the hotel and good food and bars close
Cons: bathrooms need updating along with wifi speed
had a good time in boston as usual my first time at the mariott good area the copley complex is nice there shopping food... bars and restaurants in the vicinity are really good from upscale to casual dinning a fun place to go no need for cars you can walk everywhere. For the business people the convention enters are close 5-10min uber ride and the hynes centre is in the same complex. All in all a good place to stay for a few days.

$500.00 for a night stay. for millionairs only

car parking too expensive. could not use suitcase chariot yourself because in house policy. it is a money grabbing business and we wanted to rent the room only, not buy it. If you want to pay that kind of money go to the Breakers hotel in West PalmBeach Florida

I stayed at the Marriott for a few days while attending the Boston Saefood Show. The room was all that I expected it to be.

Convenient location

Clean, courteous staff, great location. I have stayed here before and this is the Boston hotel of my choice. I can get anywhere in the city from here easily and it's modern amenities are great. Champs is fun for drinks, Starbucks is great for the morning, and everyone who works at the Marriott is wonderfully helpful.

It was a very nice hotel. We especially liked being able to walk to Copley Place without having to go outside. That was a big plus.

quick business, in and out

Cons: elevators. see above
very good hotel, except for the elevators. they tried to make it fancy, and i loved the idea (i'm a Computer Science Professor). however, the execution of whoever they hired was very bad. at one instance, i wanted to go to the 17th floor, while the person next to me was going to the 18th, and a third person going to the 4th floor. 3 different elevators were designated, and the wait time was long...

Pros: Location was great. The kids loved the indoor pool.
Cons: Decor could be updated.
Great place to stay with our two kids. We needed a get-away for a night because this winter has been so difficult. Took the kids to the hotel and they swam in the indoor pool. It was bitter cold outside, so it was wonderful to stay indoors and walk to restaurants. We had dinner at the Top of the Hub and never went outside!
