Room needs repair, dirty, noisy.

Posted Nov 23, 2014
Pros: Staff are friendly and helpful
Cons: Refurbishment of rooms and halls.
Location: Convenient location. Nearby metro stop has constant crowd of loud drinking, swearing people in sleeping bags at night.
Visiting family and needed place to stay in Boston. Chose Omni as the hotels are generally first rate. This example was ok in the lobby but dissapointing in the room. Peeling wallpaper with water damage in the bathroom, dirty carpets, noisy location, and poorly functioning antiquated wall a/c meant sleep was compromised. Staff platering hallway meant we had to manouvre around workment on the route to and from our room.

Well located in Central Boston but....

Posted Nov 21, 2014
Pros: see above
Cons: The seals on the doors - they need them to actually seal the light and noise out!!! not just provide a gesture.
Location: Central downtown Boston right in the heart of historic Boston - you are on the freedom trail if you stay at this hotel.
The central Location of Parker House is its major plus from my perspective and especially for the reasons for my visit to Boston. Just about everything I needed was walking distance away or at most 2-3 T stops away. In regards the details about the hotel, whilst facilities were adequate for my needs during visit to Boston, the room I was allocated was very basic in all the facilities, somewhat cramped and most importantly was very very poorly sound proofed!!! The door was effectively not sealed and light and noise came into the room as if people in corridor were in the room with me!!!! No doubt I was in the older part of the hotel. From the outside it appears that front part of building has been refurbished, at least to a degree. Pity they didn't take care to fix the back part of hotel with the same detail!! Generally felt safe and secure and the staff were courteous and helpful. Would probably stay there again but definitely NOT in their "Petite" rooms.

Very nice old hotel

Posted Nov 18, 2014
Pros: room, location, service
Cons: food
Very nice old hotel, excellent service, several bars and restaurants in hotel from which to choose, comfortable bed. Excellent service in fine dining restaurant, although I did not like the stuffing in the lobster. Blue crab has a very delicate flavor that should not be overpowered with red peppers--stuffing too bready, as well. The lobster was yummy. Skip the stuffed one.

Pros: Compact but neat with plenty of room to store items. Adequate closet. TV good. Bed and linens were very comfortable.
Cons: No view from room. Looked out onto building brick wall. Bathroom door hit the toilet when open. Front desk staff was inconsistently nice.
Location: Excellent area. Walkable to Convention center and good restaurants. Lobby area was pretty. Gym was terrific. Like the 24 hour accessibility.
I would stay here again. Accomodations were lovely although bathroom was small. Liked being in the financial district. Felt safe. Wait staff in restaurant were efficient and nice. Bell hops were also really sweet. Front desk staff could learn from them.

Location A+

Posted Nov 6, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Free wifi, sheets, comforters, bathroom extractors, more plugs
Location: Down the street there is a cvs, wallgreens, h&m, starbucks, chipotle Many pubs in the area. Current state house, old meeting house
other than the location, this hotel is highly overpriced. The walls are soo thin. I could hear a conversation being held in the room next to mine perfectly. It was awful. They charge 10 $ per day for wifi... Its crazy, BUT if you sign up for their membership is free ONLY IF , and its a big if, you book thru their page, they might let it slide if its ur first time but they warned me that if i wanted free wifi next time, i had to book thru them directly.
