Great Historic Downtown Classic hotel

Posted Jun 24, 2015
Pros: Historic and elegant, clean.
Cons: Offer bottled water in room(with no cost) and free wi-fi
Location: Downtown Boston, nearby shopping about a half-mile from most attractions ( Boston Commons, Quincy Market, is on Freedom Trail
Convenient downtown location on freedom trail, close to public transportation, also near loads of eating and shopping spots. Room was smaller but very comfortable and clean and grey view of downtown. Disappointment that they did not offer free wi-fi. also in hotel snacks very expensive avoid them or you will pay a lot. Staff was very helpful and polite and professional. Would stay again if in Boston.

Room was great but walls are thin

Posted Jun 23, 2015
Pros: Beautiful and charming. very historic and close to the primary historic sites.
Cons: Hard to fix sound proofing issues, maybe ask customers when they sign in to keep quiet.
Location: Freedom trail was excellent
The old hotel is charming, clean and amazingly courteous staff but with that comes old technology of walls without good sound proofing. Our neighbors came in drunk and loud but the staff quieted them down very quickly.

I really enjoyed my stay and although pricey, it is in the best location for visitors interested in the history of Boston.

Very historic hotel that is on the Freedom Trail and very close to where it starts. It's the longest running hotel in America. Story goes that the Boston cream pie was invented in this hotel.

June 2015 Stay at Omni Parker House, Boston, MA

Posted Jun 11, 2015
Pros: This hotel is perfectly located for touring the city of Boston. We were able to easily walk to every historic site that we wanted to see.
Cons: Coffee in the lobby in the morning
Location: Six minute walk to start of Freedom Trail at Boston Common; historic sites, shopping and great restaurants all within no more than 15 minute walk.
Could not ask for a better location in Boston to see all of the historic sites. Not sure the nightly cost justifies the benefit of this location. Since this was our last destination of our vacation, I dropped my wife off at the hotel entrance with our luggage so she could get settled in our room while I took the rental car back to drop-off location at airport (no need for car in this town). When I arrived back at hotel about 45 minutes later, my wife was still in the lobby - the reception staff would not let her in our room due to the fact that my name was the only one listed on the Expedia reservation (maybe more the fault of Expedia than the hotel staff). Still, the hotel staff should have done something to get her into the room. Will probably stay at a location near Logan Airport or on outskirts of town on next visit and use the nightly savings for multi-day metro passes and other travel costs.
