great location, value, stay

leave your car in the garage; easy to walk everywhere (food, shopping, park). know that it's also easy enough to park the car in the garage for yourself and save money from the valet option-

Outdated furniture, worn out window fixtures

Posted Aug 2, 2015
My stay was not as good as my departure. I booked My Stay through Expedia for $189 but was charged $265 plus $100 for incidentals to be held on my card. 1. There was a $15 facility fee ( Not sure for what unless it was access to the gym) which in that case I was forced to go to but what if I wasn't planning to go, do I not pay fee? 2. There was an additional fee to the facility fee 3. There was an administration fee for the in room food order I had of $4. Not sure why that was necessary. The menu was too expensive like most hotels. 4. There were NO incidentals in my room worth $100. NO snacks visible. I had my own bottled water. It was too hot for the robe so... Overall the lobby appearance was what I felt like I paid for that was nice but congested with a restaurant called STRIP. I thought it was a strip club at first. The room itself had very worn outdated furniture & windows without curtains, raggedy fixture where curtain rods used to be & dirty shades. 4. The room I registered was supposedly upgraded from a queen to a king size but I didn't really need that but thanks. The location was good but I noticed several other hotels in the area that I would consider next time.

Very convenient to T subway and Boston Common

Room and bathroom are very small. Lobby and attached restaurants are excellent.
Comment from Hotel Management

We appreciate your feedback about our hotel and are glad to hear that you enjoyed our new lobby renovations and that you had great dining experiences with us. We apologize for the challenges that you had at our hotel as well as for the size of your room. Our historic hotel was built in 1927 and some of our rooms are small compared to today's standards. We will discuss your specific issues with our Engineering staff to ensure all of our rooms are in good condition for our guests. Thank you for the feedback so that we can improve and we hope that we will welcome you back soon.

Posted Aug 2, 2015

Nice hotel in the heart of Boston

Close to Boston Common, the State House, Beacon Hill, Prudential Center and shopping. $10 cab ride to Fenway. If you drive you can expect to pay $48 for valet parking.

Posted Aug 2, 2015
Pros:
