“Exceptional Value”

In Boston for one night for the Hong Kong Dragon Boat festival and looking for a hotel at a reasonable price, the Charlesmark Hotel fit the bill. In the center of downtown, it was exceptionally convenient. Yes the double room was smaller, but no smaller than rooms in hotels at twice the price. It was very well equipped and every inch of space maximized. We will definitely look here first the next time we are in Boston.

“Extremely convenient location”

The Charlesmark Hotel is located just off Copley Square, across the street from the side of the Boston Public Library, right at the finish line of the Boston Marathon on Boylston St.. It is a narrow building, but all visitors need is on the first or second floor: reception desk, bar, lounge/breakfast room, computers for guest use, ice machine, even a small microwave. Rooms are small, but attractively decorated and very clean. Pleasant staff made the visit enjoyable.

“Hip and ideally located”

We've stayed at the Charlesmark before. And while the rooms are compact, they are stylish and well designed. The lobby is great for those interested in design and the location is perfect- close to Newbury Street, Copley Plaza, etc. We will continue to book there. It is a fantastic value in a city of high-priced options.

“Boston on a budget!”

I went here in August 2010 and got a room at a reduced Expedia deal rate which was about 40% off the ususal Boston rate. My room was compact and clean and had all the usual facilities - very nice!. Reception was very friendly and warm and all in all, this was a great place to stay for the money - I would easily recommend this hotel for short or long stays.

“Can't wait to go back!”

Never staying in Boston before this 1st experience was great. The hotel and staff were wonderful. They were kind and curtious. We got there a little a head of check in time but the room was ready so they let us in early. The room was clean and nice. It was right in the middle of the action to shopping, resturants and the sites. Every thing was in walking distance so you could just park your car. At night Durgen Park was all lit up. Following morning they had a Continental Breakfest which was great to have being on a budget. Wonderful place to stay and left with some great memories. Would highly recommend and was very reasonably priced for Boston.

“Will definitely stay again”

We had a great stay here. The staff was informative and helpful on every request. The room was small but up to date and perfect for our stay. You are close to the subway- literally right across the street and can get anywhere in the city in a few minutes. The bar was great as well. Our last night they had a private party but were allowed to stay because we were staying at the hotel. There is a grocery store a block away if you need anything late at night or any other time :) Shopping is great just a few blocks away and the freedom trail is only a few stops on the subway. We packed light and rode the subway straight to the airport as well- wish we would have done that coming in, could've saved us $40. Overall we were completely satisfied. It's a quaint hotel so you don't have the hustle and bustle of a ton of other travelers and the staff is more than willing to help with any need. And for the price you can't beat it- we'll definitely stay there again.
