weekend hotel in Boston

Posted Apr 15, 2014
Pros: Location. 5-10 minute walk to Quincy Market, the Aquarium and many bars and restaurants.
Cons: Probably the set up in the bathroom and the attitudes of the front desk staff. Not friendly and didn't smile when greeted
Location: 5-10 min walk to Quincy Market, Fanueill Hall, the Aquarium and a short walk to the T.
The staff were okay. The hotel staff were a bit snobbish. Not particularly outgoing and very serious. The room was clean but small. We didn't care as we were only sleeping there at night. The bathroom was a bit tedious. The toilet paper roll is right above the trash can and the paper kept rolling into the trash can. The shower was nice but no matter how we tried to place the hose of the shower the floor got wet. There was only one set of toiletries instead of two. The English pub was very accommodating the first night were in Boston. The second night, we went back in for a late meal after the show. The waitress was annoyed as they were still serving food for another 20 mins but because there were few diners in the restaurant she obviously didn't want to take another table. It put a bit of a damper on the experience.

Last minute reservation - pleasant surprise!

Posted Apr 15, 2014
Pros: Location. Modern setting. Restaurant & bar on site.
Cons: Nothing
Location: Good business location. Centre of historical points of interest. Vibey restaurants nearby.
Had to move from one hotel to another, literally at the last minute I stumbled on this one! Wow! What a grata surprise. Too bad I didn't know sooner or I would've stayed there for my entire 6 day trip in Boston.

Overnite in Boston

Posted Apr 8, 2014
Pros: proximity to T and markets
Cons: Staff soo quick to check you in, really did not take time to go over things.
Went to Boston for a sat Bruins game and stayed over till Sun. Check in easy but things that we needed to know were not explained, like if you want your food discount at the pub next door, must still be a customer there so they can bill it to your room. Why? After paying 269. for one nite, went for brft at the pub and couldn't get the 10% discount. Also you have to park your car about 3 blocks up from the hotel and get your car card stamped by hotel to get discount rate, thankfully I had my bill from the hotel and they took that. Hotel is close to orange line T and also close to government ctr, fanuil hall and quincy market with is nice. The rooms are not too sound proof so we could hear all the noise from people in the streets and also the drunk person in the next room.

Love this place

Posted Apr 5, 2014
Pros: everything is great
Cons: Can not think of anything wrong
I have stayed here several times. The staff is friendly the beds are awesome and the location is great. You are 1/2 mile from thearter district and 1/2 mile from Quincy market.A short stroll from South station.Best part is you never have to go outside for food or a cocktail as the Caslte and Elephant restaurant is attached lobby. This is more of a corporate hotel so prices are more on weeknites than weekends . So if You are looking for a great deal for a weekend nite in Boston then this is my pick.

Would Stay Again

Posted Apr 3, 2014
Very Clean, Easy walk to Fanuel Hall / Quincy Mahket and the "T". Some of the front desk people were a little 'flat' but the Hispanic Gentleman that helped me check out was awesomely helpful. Nice overall. The Elephant and Castle Bar that was attached to the hotel made it easy to grab a quick drink, however Saturday nite had Kareoke - yecch!

Excellent location! All the basics covered

I picked the blind offer that Expedia offers, so I didn´t know I would be staying there until I paid. For me location was more important than staying in a certain chain, since I would be there only for one night. The deal was great and the rate way lower than is normally published. The hotel is located right in downtown Boston, very close to Faneuil Hall. Overall (and specially for what I paid), the room was excellent. Everything was clean and tidy. The hall next to the lobby is very cozy. They offer complementary coffee, they have computers available and the wifi is free, which is always nice (I don´t really understand how now a days there are still hotels that charge for wifi). There were a lot of things that I didnt get to see (no room service, didn´t make it to the fitness center), so I dont know if it is good for longer stays, but I would definitely recommend it if you want to be right in the middle of downtown Boston.

Valet parking was simple to use, and the wifi was easy to connect and fast everywhere. The coffee/latte bar was excellent. Would definitely stay again and recommend to friends.

Well placed downtown boston connected to a fair pub/bar. The room was fine - no issues.
