Missed the mark

Posted May 19, 2015
Pros: Staff
Cons: See above
Location: It's Boston. There's a ton of stuff to do.
This is an elegant old hotel that could be beautiful was apparently redecorated by a Tom Haverford (Parks and Rec.) wannabe some decades ago. The updating misses the mark as does the iPod adaptor and lack of outlets for chargers. There is free wi-fi and the staff was wonderful but things like the morning coffee bar being out of cups by 9 AM, forcing us to go out to a local cafe to get a cup of coffee, is inexcusable.

Great hotel in Back Bay section of Boston

Posted May 14, 2015
Pros: The hotel staff and the quality of the amenities.
Cons: The size of the bathrooms is extremely small. This is an older building, which accounts for the size of the rooms. Not sure how it could be remedied
Location: The hotel is in a great location, with many attractions, good restaurants, and lots of excellent shopping. Also close to two transit stations.
I was visiting the Boston area for a wedding. I arrived very late in the evening and was in my room in a very short time. The hotel staff were very timely and helpful. The room was very clean, well decorated, quiet, and comfortable. Knowing that this is an older building, I was not surprised by the small room size, especially the bathroom. But the quality of the amenities made up for the size of the rooms. The exceptional part of the hotel came on the day that I checked out. My flight was not until early evening, so the hotel was holding my luggage in a secure place while I went sightseeing around town. They also planned to have a car take me to the airport at around 4PM, explaining that a taxi would be more costly that time of day due to traffic. Around noon, I found out that I was going to have to catch an earlier flight, within 2 hours!! So I quickly went back to the hotel to pick up my luggage and see what they could do about getting me to the airport quickly. Within a couple of minutes, they had a driver out front, with my suitcase in the car and me on the way to the airport. I was very impressed and much relieved, with no stress.

Reasonably priced. Close to everything.

Posted May 13, 2015
Pros: Close to everything: restaurants, trains, shopping.
Cons: The bathrooms could be rethought a bit. The toilet was about a foot from the opposite wall so anyone over 6 foot is going to be very uncomfortable.
Location: Plenty of things to do nearby, either within walking distance or a short subway ride.
This is a boutique hotel so the staff seems to try a little harder to please. The rooms are very clean and well appointed, although a bit small. The hotel was originally built in the 1890's so the layout is a bit chopped up with some odd-shaped spaces (bathrooms, closets).

Do not worth.

Posted May 11, 2015
Pros: Location is very good.
Stayed one night. The room was ready close to 3PM.Whem requested late check out 5PM, have to paid $200 + Tax. For 26hs staying,do not worth more than $600 spent in this hotel. The rooms are very small, and not so clean. Only one elevator running. You have to take the Service Elevator very often.

Lovely hotel in Boston Back Bay area

Posted May 9, 2015
We loved our stay at Copley Square Hotel! The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and very helpful. Our room was great! The room was huge, and had an incredibly comfortable bed! We were able to walk to Fenway Park to see a baseball game and all shops, parks and restaurants were within walking distance. For those first time visitors to Boston, you could not pick a better hotel and location than Copley Square Hotel!

Cramped and low quality

Posted May 4, 2015
The rooms were tiny. The TV did not work and is pretty outdated. The in room dining shut down early and has limited menu to begin with. The restaurant wasn't open for breakfast either day we were there. They charged me $30 more per night to have double beds vs. 1 king. That seemed unnecessary. The staff was friendly and the location is good, but there was a reason it was $100/night less than other hotels in the area. I guess you get what you pay for.
