Conveniently located, in need of upgrade

Posted Jul 16, 2014
Pros: Location
The hotel was very conveniently located. I was surprised, however, to learn of a (very high!) parking fee for the "privilege" of parking on the hotel property. That fee should be advertised much more prominently when a reservation is made. This hotel is in pretty serious need of an upgrade. There was some peeling paint and mildew on bathroom ceiling, and general shabbiness around the edges. The room was apparently clean enough, and linens were nice. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Great Hotel

Posted Jul 14, 2014
It was a great hotel and very fun for kids. However, I do think they should tell you before you get there that there is a $32 fee for parking your car there.

Verry nice hotel 15 mins from downtown Boston.

The guy working the counter was a heavier man who was extremely nice, and asked my wife and I about our trip and where we were from. He gave us menus to restaurants close by and told us which would deliver to the hotel and called the room to let us know they were bringing our food up to our room. The room was excellent in space, cleanliness, and view of Boston from wall to wall floor to ceiling was great to. Would defanately recommend to anyone going to Boston who don't want to drop $300-$400 a night. I'm already planing a trip back and will defanately book here again. Great experience!

Nice hotel. I only wish that there was a microwave in the room. The best part...the staff!

We would say the best part of our job is our guests! We do have a microwave available in the lobby 24 hours a day. We also do understand the convenience of having one in the room as well. We have passed your feedback onto the proper departments, and assure you we will look into having some on demand for guests who request it. Thank you again for sharing you wonderful comment about our staff!

Middle of Everywhere

Pros: Comfy rooms, wonderful view of Cambridge from our room,
Cons: Hotel breakfast wait staff needs to be better with the English language, better lines in the parking lot,
Location: The hotel is literally less than 20 minutes from everywhere in Boston. The Aquarium, Sam Adams, and so much more!! Quite the central location!
The hotel itself is very nice and the front desk staff was very welcoming and friendly. The in-hotel restaurant is very good with an extensive menu of Japanese cuisine, hibachi tables, and friendly and attentive staff. The hotel is literally less than 20 minutes from everywhere in Boston and Cambridge. We went to Harvard Museum of Natural History, the Sam Adams brewery, Harpoon brewery, Legal Seafood, Franklin and Stone zoos, the New England Aquarium, plus more and were seldom more than 20 minutes from the hotel.

Places not to stay in Cambridge.

Posted May 21, 2014
Pros: Close to MIT and Harvard
Cons: Hidden charges made for ill will. Both Expedia and Marriott Courtyard bear responsibility for this.
The hotel does not notify you that parking is $32 + tax until you've checked in. Breakfast is $12-16. Initial room was next to ice machine and vending area , unacceptably noisy but the staff changed the room without much fuss.

Hi Steve, we apologize you were not aware of the parking fee when you checked in. We try our best to make sure all information and fees included in the stay is updated on our hotel partners website and try our best to share that information at check in as we are aware guests may not always be aware. We understand this was a surprise to you, but assure you that we do try aggressively to keep our guests in mind, and it is why we offer the lowest parking rate for overnight guests compared to all hotels in the surrounding area. Thank you again for your feedback.
