Location, Location, Location

Posted Aug 16, 2014
Pros: When we walked in we realized it was formerly the Tremont Hotel which we stayed at for a family reunion 20 years ago. Fond memories of that visit.
Location: Great walking city and hotel is perfectly located. Not on a main street so it's quiet. The theaters, great restaurants and the Common are right there.
We had 2 nights in Boston looking at colleges for our daughter. It was a short 2 block walk over to Emerson which was on our list. We dreaded leaving early Sat morning for the airport but it took less than 15 minutes to get there. In the morning we walked over to Newbury Street and sat an an outdoor cafe while waiting for the stores to open at 10AM.

Thin walls, close to too many night clubs.

Posted Aug 15, 2014
Extended my visit to Boston area after a conference in Cambridge. Since thought access to T and ease of walking is plus to.Boston, didn't matter the location of this hotel was near financial district. Hotel location was fine, as anticipated. Able to get to museums, north end, Jamaica plains, etc. Hotel is in misdst of renovation. Small rooms, thin walls, no fridge. Elevators did not always work and found that the elevator that was working was monopolized by bacheloret parties staying in hotel due to proximity to numerous night clubs in area. Loud music carried up pipes to my room, too, but relatively easy to ignore compared to tv and baby in next room.

Anna, I hope you enjoyed your extended trip to Boston. It is such a wonderful city and I am glad you could stay a little longer after your conference. We are in the midst of a renovation. By the end of the year we will have renovated all of our guest rooms, our lobby and the restaurant. I am sure this will address the concerns you raised. I hope you will choose to stay with us on your next trip and get to experience the complete renovation. Thank you

Weekend stay

Posted Aug 12, 2014
Pros: Nice lobby and employees
Cons: Lower price and pay to get digital or HD
Location: Panera & Dunking Donuts
Average hotel charging 4 star prices. TV was in analog, which I thought didn't even exist anymore. 4 elevators with only 2 running and took forever.

Close to everything

This hotel was close to everything. We went to a baseball game, south end, Boston tea party, and Quincy market and we were very close to all these locations

Great value in heart of old Boston

Posted Jul 29, 2014
Location: Close to Boston Common and the start of the Freedom trail, within walking distance to SOWA art district, Chinatown, Little Italy and the Seaport
Mostly impressed by the staff. We had a minor problem in our room, and the manager took care of it immediately and professionally. The breakfast buffett was fabulous, the rooms/beds very comfortable, everyone from front desk to waiters, to housekeepers all very pleasant and helpful. Great place to stay!

Very Convenient

Posted Jul 28, 2014
Pros: The lobby is gorgeous it was just renovated and it has a nice breakfast and drink bar along with a snack corner.
Cons: The hotel rooms need exhaust fans in the bathroom, better lighting , pillows and mattress need to be more comfortable.
Location: The start of the freedom trail is two blocks away and the public garden is gorgeous also blocks away. Pretty much all of Boston is walkable from this
This hotel was in one of the best locations where everything is just blocks away. The hotel is going through renovations but didn't hear any noise of construction.

Nice hotel! Good location.

Spent 3 nights. Very clean and comfortable room. 2 doubles were very spacious for 2 adults and 2 kids. Location close to boston common was lovely. Only wish there was some info about what to see and do in Boston. Also, wish there was a pool for the kids to unwind. But overall, nice clean place and very comfortable!

Never again

Posted Jul 1, 2014
Pros: The staff was wonderful!
Cons: I can't imagine they did not know it was in this condition. Therefore, I will never go back to see if it was improved
Location: The location was fine. Again, there are many other hotels in the same area.
Excellent staff, friendly and personable. Horrible room. Dirty, cold, patches on wallpaper stuck over holes in wall. Not even close to worth the money. So very many better hotels for the same price nearby. Never AGAIN!
