Just as advertised

Posted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: It's closeness to the train
Cons: The drain in the shower was rather slow
My wife and I were very pleased with our stay at the Marriot. It was a close walk to the train, which enabled us to explore downtown Boston. We would certainly stay here again if we were in the Boston area

Nice hotel - staff was 'ok'

Posted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: Hotel was clean and rooms were larger and nice.
Cons: there is no pool - and it would have been nice to have a pool. Hotel staff could have been friendlier (front desk).
Location: Location is a bit off the main beat /attractions - but very easy to get to them via the subway. Would stay here again if visting Boston.
In Boston for vacation and experience the history - stayed at this hotel, which is a little bit away from where all the history and sites are, but they offer free shuttle to the subway. The subway is actually less than a mile away, so not horrible to get to on foot. We had to walk back to our hotel each time after the day, as never seemed to see the shuttle there to pick anyone up.

Family vacation in Boston

Posted Jul 2, 2014
Pros: Clean, friendly staff, close to everything
Cons: Firmer pillows :)
Location: South Bay Center for shopping and restaurants. Everything else is a short subway ride into town.
Great hotel. I was worried about the location (Dorchester), but the neighborhood was nice, we felt safe to walk to the subway station in the evenings. It was about an 8 minute walk to the T station and about 5 minutes to the South Bay Center for shopping and restaurants. The staff were very courteous and helpful. They even helped track down an overnight package I was expecting. The hotel itself was very nice. Clean, comfortable (the pillows could be a bit firmer). The only downside was we expected the pool to be bigger. We will definitely stay here again!

Disappointed on booking through Expedia

Posted Jun 21, 2014
Yes when we arrived we were told that the room we had booked was no longer available we were put in a much smaller room for the 3 nights. We were told that when you book through Expedia your room is not a guarantee which we found to be very disappointment as we booked this hotel in February this year. I have not read anywhere that this is true. Please can you pass this to your customer service department & reply to me. Kind regards. Mrs c knowles.

Close to subway and shopping mall

Posted Jun 13, 2014
Pros: Location.
Cons: Hotel should take into account the number of guests in a room and provide enough towels, toiletries coffee etc.
Rooms are fairly large. Close to subway and highways. It is about a 5-10 minute walk to the Andrew station on the red line. Only 2 subway stops to Boston Common. Nearby shopping centre to the hotel has Target, Panera Bread, Applebee's and Olive Garden. There is a shuttle to and from Logan Airport for a small fee. Small pool and hot tub and a place to grab a quick bite.
