“Turn Down the Heat!”
Everything was fine except the guest room was way too hot.
“Boston Theater District great location”
Just returned from five nights at the Courtyard by Marriott Boston Tremont hotel. GREAT location right in the middle of theater district, across street from Citi Wang theater (caught a Sting concert!). Close to two subway stations, lots of great restaurants nearby, two blocks from Boston Common and Freedom Trail. Very comfortable bed, clean but small bathroom (this is an older property but well maintained). GREAT staff, everyone friendly and helpful. Only issue was the nightclub next door - we were originally in a room on the sixth floor, and the pulsing bass from the music was a distraction (not enough to keep you awake but similar to someone passing on the street with very large car speakers). On Tuesday night this was over before 11 pm. We asked to be moved, too busy to do the next day but on Thursday we were put in a room on the 12th floor. Could still hear the bass Friday and Saturday nights but it was much fainter. WiFi was much better in 12th floor room as well. Would definitely stay here again as long as we could be on the upper floors.
“Needs updating.”
Basically, the Tremont is an old, lovely hotel with character. The location is fabulous. We were able to go out the front door and grab a cab or walk to numerous historical sites. Boston is amazing. Rooms were small; however the beds were very comfortable. In out room, the air conditioner didn't work well. Can't open a window so it was uncomfortable. The television had no movies or games. Might be a problem if you bring kids. Maybe not, everyone has mobile devices. My biggest complaint was the bathroom. Very small and the narrow shelf for toiletries couldn't accommodate much, not to mention the fear that items would go into the toilet.
“A little disappointed”
This is the first time that I've been unimpressed by a Courtyard Marriott. The room was super tiny although I had a good view of the city since it was on the 12th floor. When my boyfriend arrived in the room, the floor was wet as though someone had spilled a lot of water on the carpet. So he threw a towel on the floor and we managed fine. The internet was supposed to be free and working but it did not work. The few times that it did connect, the network was so slow that it took a really long time to load any page. And then by the time a page loaded, the connection would be lost. In all fairness though, I have to mention that we decided against asking for a change of room since we had seen other reviews that mentioned that all rooms at this particular hotel were really small. Moreover, since I had made the reservation as a package deal of flight+hotel through Expedia, I wasn't sure if I'd have to pay extra in order for the change. Overall, the inconveniences were bearable since we spent the maximum time exploring the city, returning to the hotel pretty late.
“Boston Tremont - Unsatisfactory”
My first night was on a very uncomfortable sofa bed, even though I had pre-paid my reservation. There was still no room held for me with a normal quality bed. The second night the fire alarm went off in the middle of the night after being told the drill would not take place in the middle of the night but in the next afternoon. I will likely not stay in this hotel ever again.
“Great Staff, Great Location”
I was very happy with my recent stay at the Courtyard Marriott. The hotel staff was very pleasant to work and the doorman William was one of the nicest people I've ever met and extremely helpful. The only suggestion that I have is more airflow in the rooms, it did get a little stuffy in there. Other than that I would definitely recommend this hotel to any of my friends travelling to boston
“Clean and nicely furnished.”
Great location. Although room was small it was adequate and provided a great home base for our visit to Boston. Across the street from the orange line in the heart of the theater district. Easy to reach from the airport. The commons and the Freedom Trail are just a couple of blocks away. Within walking distance of Beacon Hill, museums, the prudential building, and Newbury street. If you're just intending on visiting the greater Boston area you do not need a car. The subways and a few steps will get you nearly anywhere you want to go.
“Perfect location in Theatre District”
Nice, basic hotel experience. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Room was a little small but nice and clean. We asked for a cot for my son, which was brought up quickly. Everything in the room worked, including internet--a nice bonus. Free coffee in lobby was also a nice bonus. Would have liked a reasonably priced continental breakfast available in the hotel (restaurant breakfast buffet was $18!), but that was really the only drawback. We'll definitely stay at this hotel on our next trip to Boston!
“Great Location”
Everything was so close~restaurants, The T, entertainment.
