“Impecably clean, affordable, and oh, so close to the T-station.”
This hotel was really nice. My boyfriend and I stayed there for only one night, but we ended up wanting to spend a few more. First off, it's cheap. It's kinda far from downtown, but hey, a 5 minute train-ride (I recommend the T, not driving...much less confusing) and you're at Downtown Crossing (Macys, Filenes, etc. As much shopping as you can do in a small New England city). The only thing wrong with the hotel was that when we went to the desk to get as many complimentary things possible, they didn't have any deodorant. Oh well, I still got a shower cap, sewing kit, razor, and more lotion for later on ;)
“The staff was extreemly polite and it was a comfortable stay.”
I loved the staff and they loved my son. when they saw him they would say hi to us by name. The hotel is in a good location and it didnt take us long to get everywhere. It was just a little difficult to find the hotel the first time. But the staff is very good with directions.
“nice little hotel”
lots of construction going on around the hotel, lots of traffic but nice and friendly staff, clean and comfortable, everything about it was great except that they charge $10.00 per day to park on their property.. In my opionion this is something that should be provided free of charge.... especially since there's construction in the area.
“I would definitely stay there again”
This is a very nice hotel for a very reasonable price. The service was excellent and the room was clean and comfortable. For the price, the Doubletree Bayside can't be beat.
“Highly recommended for its price”
Large room, quiet even though this particular room had a first floor location, modern bathroom, very comfortable bed/bedding. Check-in was simple and pleasant. Did charge an extra $10 to park (not disclosed when making the reservation). Hotel offers a shuttle service if not using a car.
“Great stay at a good hotel”
Nice and quiet, helpful and friendly staff
“Great for a one night stay”
The hotel was a great location for the price. Simply take the red line to JFK/UMass station. You are 10 minutes from downtown. Once you exit the station, walk under the highway and the hotel is on the other side. My only recommendation is that they put a sign at the subway station telling you which way to walk. I got lost the first time.
“Very positive experience”
the hotel is a little out of downtown, but acces to public transportation is very easy to find, close by, and cheap. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable. It was a lot less expensive than a downtown hotel; we will definitively return to this one in the future.
“A comfortable place to stay - Convenient for a visit”
We arrived by T from Amtrak's South Station. The hotel is right next to a large lit sign for the Expo Center visible from the T station. It is about a block's walk. The lobby is not particularly impressive, but the room was bright and cheerful, the bathroom modern and clean. There is a great "Au Bon Pain" coffee shop on the premises for inexpensive and good breakfast, snacks and a bar for drinks. All of Boston is easily accessible by public transportation from this hotel.
“Can't wait to go back”
The service, cleanliness, and transportation are very good. Easy to get there and easy to go to downtown. Subway is nearby. The free shuttle bus is very useful to and from airport.
