“Excellent Location”

Right on Charles River, beautiful view of Charles River from our room...perfect room on the 8th floor. Cookies are great as always especially for kids.

“Fantastic Hotel”

This hotel cannot be faulted! The Rooms were spotless and contrary to a review before, the showers are ace! Excellent restaurant, and a bar/snack lounge very welcome after walking all over Boston. It IS walkable to Central Boston from this hotel but allow a good 3/4 of an hour and good weather. Free coffee in morning, free internet (4 PC's), didn't try the pool but wish I had, and USA Today also free Beware breakfast which is expensive - go to D Donuts once in Boston instead! A real fabulous hotel and believe me its not that far out - Boston is a truly walkable city remember! One eatout tip - Joe Tecces Italian restaurant near North Station..Heaven on a plate and real cosy spot too!

“A Great Place To Hang Your Hat”

The Doubletree is an excellent lodging choice. The location is in close proximity to Harvard and is not terribly far from downtown Boston. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The room was excellent. I will undoubtedly look to stay here in the future when my travels take me to Boston.

“Doubletree Suites, sweet stay”

Vacation stay which coincided with the May 2010 broken water main. Hotel was excellent about notification, and made sure bottled water was available as long as needed. Shuttle for points downtown and Harvard Square was convenient and easy to arrange. Housekeeping was efficient, and an off-hours request was promptly handled. Food was good. We did have to request the breakfast order tag used on the doorknob several times, they would do better if there was a fresh tag included with any breakfast delivery. View was lovely, looking toward Fenway park. Table was sturdy and large enough for both of us to dine in. Road access was a bit tricky the first couple of times (watch carefully to ensure you are in the correct lane). Once you get familiar with it, it's not bad at all. Everyone on staff was friendly and cheerful. It was a very pleasant stay.

“Highly recommended”

I'll keep it short and sweet. I was very happy with my stay. I have no complaints whatsoever. Got a complimentary upgrade to a corner suite with two different river views. I wish I could've been there longer. I wouldn't hesitate to return, hopefully I can in the near future. The food in the hotel was a little pricey, but I guess that's expected at any hotel of this caliber.

“Convenient”

Had a nice stay. Enjoyed the proximity to the walking and bike paths along the Charles. Close gas stations. Whole foods and Trader Joes in walking distance. Food at Fusion bar is decent, but they were a bit understaffed when I was there. Okay, the warm cookie is a nice treat after a long trip.

“Clean, comfortable stay”

This was a business trip and I needed a hotel near Boston U. Reception was friendly and helpful and offering warm chocolate chip cookies is always a positive. Convenient parking garage and easy in-and-out privelege was very helpful. The room was large,comfortable and had a great view of the river. Buffet breakfast was very good. Overall, a most satisfactory stay. Only negative, couldn't get lunch after 2:30 so had to drive into Cambridge.
