Great location, even better hotel

Posted Jul 16, 2014
Pros: Really appreciated the helpfulness of the staff (giving directions, recommending sights, sneaking me late night cookies). Impeccable accommodations.
Cons: $35/day for parking is excessive. Hotel has complimentary shuttles, but they stop at 7 so you're forced to take a $20 cab ride to get back.
Location: Close proximity to Harvard campus, which makes for great sightseeing (and good eats!).
Stayed here over Memorial Day weekend while I was in town for a music festival, and cannot say enough good things about the helpfulness of the staff and cleanliness of the facilities. Bed was perhaps the comfiest I have ever slept in, including my own. Only a short cab ride from downtown Boston, the hotel was in a great location (my room on the 16th floor overlooked the river), and its proximity to Harvard campus (about a 20 minute walk) lent itself to much exploring. This was my first time staying in a DoubleTree (and the first time I've tried the cookies - AMAZING) and it definitely won't be the last. I plan to come back here next time I'm in Boston.

Pros: the staff was friendly and helpful. The lobby was beautifully redone. The location was great..
Cons: The beds!!!
the hotel and staff were wonderful, but the beds were horrendous. A board was brought to the room to put under the mattress. It was not a solution..The beds need to be replaced,,,,that's it that's all.

Very pleasant stay

Pros: View of the river, and to proximity to Harvard Business School. Looks like it also caters well for those with a car.
Cons: Double or king size singles for the Twin bed rooms would be better. Otherwise, the beds are very comfortable.
Location: Easy access to Harvard and downtown on the public transport system with free shuttle bus services & proximity of bus stops with connection to the T.
Thoroughly enjoyed the stay here. Staff were friendly and helpful. View from King bed suites are amazing. Also good from the the twin bed rooms. Rooms are spacious - great for a family. Can be noisy in rooms closer to the elevator if there are excited little feet running along to catch the elevator. Great location for proximity to Harvard Business School.

Stayed for just one night but super convenient- a 5 minute drive to Fenway and shuttle service to the New England Aquarium- just wish they had complimentary breakfast.

Pros: Shuttle bus into Boston
Cons: Two queen beds instead of twin
Location: Walking along river.
Good shuttle service into Boston. Staff pleasant and helpful. Disappointed that it was twin beds not full or queen in room
