Very homely hotel room.Posted Aug 13, 2014
This hotel is in Cambridge which is a 10 minute ride from downtown Boston. Although we missed the proximity to the hustle and bustle of Boston, but the free shuttle was very convenient. We loved the fact that the hotel room has a very homely feel to it; with a separate living room! The pool and hot tub were favorite hangouts for our children. The hotel lobby looks great and has Mac computers that the kids enjoyed using. Hotel is really close to Cambridge including Harvard Square which was great for restaurants.

A couple of issuesPosted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean.
Cons: The room was very small I was told that it would be $227 with taxes and everything and I was billed $296. I was very upset about that.
Location: pretty close to most of the places we wanted to go while we were there.
When I checked out the room was almost $100 more than What it was suppose to be and there were picketers outside the hotel that woke us up very early in the morning.

Great Location and staff!Posted Jul 28, 2014
Pros: The staff was incredible. The hotel was beautiful and well maintained. The location was ideal for the train/walking. Amazing view from 16th floor.
Cons: The water pressure was awful, we barely could use it. Also, have the free items in the room, I never got my complimentary shower cap haha
Location: You are staying in Cambridge, so it is close to Harvard. You can walk to the train from the hotel and get to Boston in less than 20 minutes.
We picked this hotel because it was the cheapest in the city. We didn't have the best expectations, but it was amazing. The ladies at the front desk were so nice. I had issues with my card working, they helped me figure it out. The room was clean and well stocked when we got into it. We had a great view of the Charles River from our balcony on the 16th floor. They had a nice pool and hot tub, only issue is it gets loud when there are other people in it. They have a computer lounge with a printer in the front of the hotel. The have a little "market" where you can get food/coffee/aspirin/etc right at the front desk. There is super easy access to the train, a short 15 minute walk. Or they always have taxi's waiting on the driveway.

Great location, even better hotelPosted Jul 16, 2014
Pros: Really appreciated the helpfulness of the staff (giving directions, recommending sights, sneaking me late night cookies). Impeccable accommodations.
Cons: $35/day for parking is excessive. Hotel has complimentary shuttles, but they stop at 7 so you're forced to take a $20 cab ride to get back.
Location: Close proximity to Harvard campus, which makes for great sightseeing (and good eats!).
Stayed here over Memorial Day weekend while I was in town for a music festival, and cannot say enough good things about the helpfulness of the staff and cleanliness of the facilities. Bed was perhaps the comfiest I have ever slept in, including my own. Only a short cab ride from downtown Boston, the hotel was in a great location (my room on the 16th floor overlooked the river), and its proximity to Harvard campus (about a 20 minute walk) lent itself to much exploring. This was my first time staying in a DoubleTree (and the first time I've tried the cookies - AMAZING) and it definitely won't be the last. I plan to come back here next time I'm in Boston.
