Great hotel - absolutely wonderful staff.

Posted Jul 23, 2015
Pros: Free parking. Also, they provided a great breakfast! Everything from fresh fruit to eggs and bacon.
Cons: Room didn't have a refrigerator.
Location: Very close to the exit off if I93 - easy to get to. Science Museum right down the street. Bus stop one block away.
Only stayed there for one evening. Hotel staff very friendly, helpful and more than accommodating. The fact that there is free parking (under ground) made our stay even better! I would certainly recommend this hotel. Close to mass-transit and right down the street from the Science Museum.

I stayed at the hotel for a conference in Cambridge. The staff were great, the hotel was very good. Not fancy, but clean and well maintained, and in a good location. I would stay again.

Great Stay

Posted Jul 15, 2015
Pros: Location , free breakfast, free parking
My husband & I arrived early, way before check in time. They had a room for us, so we were able to start exploring immediately. The hotel is just a few steps from the "T" and a quick ride into the city of Boston. We also walked in one of the days by way of Bunker Hill. So centrally located. The rooms were clean & quiet.

Hampton Inn - Cambridge

Posted Jul 8, 2015
Pros: Great value, friendly staff, free parking, and complimentary breakfast.
Cons: A wider variety of fresh fruit in the breakfast buffet.
Location: Excellent location, a block from the Lechmere "T" stop, and within walking distance (maybe 1/2 mile) to the Cambridge Galleria.
We had a very pleasant experience here during our stay in Boston. The hotel staff were very kind and helpful both during our check-in and at other times in answering our questions about parking, using public transportation, and giving restaurant recommendations. Our room was clean and comfortable, and it was fairly quiet given that we had a street view. Breakfast had a variety of options -- my only critique would be that a wider variety of fresh cut fruit be offered for those who prefer a healthier option. The hotel is located about a block from the Lechmere "T" stop, making it very convenient for those who want to get out to see the city and walk the Freedom Trail. Underground secure parking is provided which is a fantastic plus since street parking is nonexistent in this area. After checking out around 9:30AM on our departure date, we were pleasantly surprised when the staff informed us we could leave our car in the parking area while we did a little additional sightseeing, as long as it was moved by 3PM. The pricing was very competitive, and given that a complimentary breakfast AND free parking are included in your hotel price, it is a real value option since the hotel puts you so close to the sights and activities that are such a draw in Boston.

Disappointing

Posted Jun 25, 2015
Pros: Location - easy walk from green T terminus at Lychmere
Cons: More caring attitude from the staff
Location: Boston
Bathroom extractor fan didn't work throughout our stay - despite reporting it twice to management. Air conditioning was noisy and failed entirely on our final night. Breakfast food was very "ordinary". The fresh fruit was limited, cooked breakfast was poor. Wifi connection was "flaky".

Parking was HORRENDOUS

Posted Jun 22, 2015
Pros: Clean, breakfast offered.
Cons: No pool, PARKING
Location: The T is apparently within walking distance. The Science museum is within walking and you can catch a Duck tour from there.
The bed and pillows were fine. The breakfast was decent, although not much variety. The front desk was nice, but not very helpful. There was a parking garage attached...it was VERY narrow and did NOT have enough spaces for the entire hotel. Many of the spaces were parallel parking only! I ended up parking in "No Parking Zones" almost the entire time!

Get what you pay for . . .

Posted Jun 15, 2015
Pros: The linen on the bed
Cons: It just isn't fancy . . . would take a lot to improve.
Location: Not too bad and fairly easy to walk to cool stuff, but definitely not located where other more swanky hotels are.
This hotel was just okay, and unfortunately, I was "upgraded" at no additional cost to a room with a king-sized bed, but was close to the elevator and noise from outside (2nd floor) so didn't sleep well. The sheets, pillows and linen on the bed were excellent, but there seemed to be a funny smell in the room (perhaps too much cleaning product used?) . . .
