“Great location, serviceable room”

“can't beat the location”

My room was a little run-down and had some water stains and buckled plaster in the bedroom and some mold around the bathtub tap, but it was comfortable and clean. Although it was on a very busy corner, the windows seemed to be relatively soundproof, so I didn't get much noise from outside. The staff was friendly and the rates were good. The Harvard Square Hotel is right in the middle of everything I wanted to be near in Cambridge. I'd definitely stay there again.

“Great location”

The Harvard Square hotel has a great location within walking distance of Harvard, the shops, restaurants and the Charles River. We liked the comfortable beds, great pillows, LCD TV and coffee maker in the room. The lobby has a free coffee machine with wonderful cappucino, latte, hot chocolate and regular coffee that brews one cup at a time. The hallways reminded us of an old dorm. They could use some updating but the rooms themselves were quiet and clean. We would definitely stay there again.

“Good value”

Very good value for the price. If you need to be near Harvard I recommend this hotel. Its not fancy but very clean and comfortable. The staff was responsive and friendly. My only disappointment was no food available in hotel. However, two different Au Bon Pains are nearby, as is a "T" station.

“Best value in Harvard square”

The hotel was a few minutes walk from Harvard University, where I had a conference. It is in the heart of Harvard square, where shops, bookstores, restaurants are everywhere. Even the simply unwinding by taking a walk was a pleasure. The receptionists at the front desk are quite helpful for pointing out where to go and arranging transportation. I definitely recommend it.
