“Best value-Period.”

We needed to stay overnight with two of our kids for a program at MIT. The hotel is located very conveniently near MIT and it was clean and economical. Given everything, it was the best value in town. Nothing fancy, but overall meets the key basic criteria of hotel stay and would highly recommend.

“Convenient to MIT and Boston transit”

Stayed here to meet my son while studying at MIT. Reasonable walk to MIT. Also easy to catch subway into Boston or airport. Would stay here again.

“Excellent value for money”

Stayed here for several nights during our first holiday to Boston. The area isn't that pretty, but is almost all residential and you soon realise that it is perfectly ok and better than first impressions.There are a coupkle of banks nearby, handy for cashing travellers cheques. Our room was lovely and clean with everything required for a comfortable stay, including a flat screen TV! There is complimentary breakfast provided, including bacon, sausage patties, scrambled egg or omlette. Cereals, yoghurts, toast, waffles, muffins and bananas . A nice little touch are the free cookies available plus all day coffee! The location in my view is very good . Plenty of restaurants. Just a short walk down the road and you come to the Lechmere subway/bus station. Downtown Boston is only a 10 minute bus ride away. Due to maintenance work a free shuttle bus has been provided to take you to North Station where you can connect to the subway system, and the commuter rail station which is situated in the TD Garden opposite the bus stop.We used this to go to Salem, cheaper than booking an expensive tour. The no 69 bus at Lechmere takes you straight down to Harvard for a very pleasant day out. Buy the 7 day pass which allows unlimited travel on bus, subway and inner harbour ferry. Much better than fumbling around for change. There is a McDonalds and a large supermarket just a stroll away, plus the very nice Cambridge Galleria Mall near the Lechmere stop. All in all very good.

“Totally Satisfied”

We found Holiday Inn Express satisfactory in every way. Modern, clean, comfy, well decorated, with a pleasant helpful staff and a complimentary breakfast with an abundance of choices including warm cinnamon rolls that were out-of-this-world delicious. The convenience is awesome: on a main thoroughfare within a short drive of Cambridge, Somerville, Charlestown and downtown Boston, plus a short walk to a shopping center and a longer walk to a transit terminal.

Hotel was very clean and inviting. Breakfast was great.... good variety and quick for "on the go" guests. Nice seating area. Other meals were a bit more challenging. The hotel does not have a restaurant so you need to find somewhere to eat or have something delivered to you, which we don't care for. But overall we would definitely recommend staying here... especially with their reasonable rates.

“Great Experience”

Friendly staff. Decent breakfast. Room's were always cleaned and got fresh towels. Didn't try the internet. Computer available to guests in the lobby - very convenient. Empty fridge and microwave in the room - great plus!! Digital Cable with lots of free on-demand movies/shows! Very close to public transport!! Mall!! River!! Walkable to Museum of Science. Not the best area - off of a motorway, next to a car wash - but safe and short walk to some great places. Couldn't have been better.

“Impressed”

Returning to my hometown of Cambridge after six decades was an eye opener in many ways, some good some bad. However, we have only good things to say about our hotel accommodations, from the check-in to the house keepers who kept the room spotless and ready for me and my partner, and the breakfast staff who went out of their way to be helpful, to the readily convenient neighborhood eateries that we found to be very good. I heartily recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a home away from home in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
