Great Experience

I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Express with my boyfriend for a long weekend. The initial reason we chose the hotel was because it was close and very affordable. All the other hotels in Boston were at least $150-200 more a night so it was a great value for the price. The staff was very friendly and even offered to call us a cab whenever we would go out. The hotel is very close to Dunkin Donuts, Shaws Supermarket, Marshalls and a bunch of other stores/restaurants. Also, there is a small park behind it complete with basketball courts and playground. The room was very clean and comfortable. I really enjoyed the 24 hour complimentary coffee. The complimentary breakfast was decent but definitely could have used a few healthier options. All in all, if you're looking for value right outside Boston, this is a very good option!

Pros: The friendly and attentive staff and the comfort of the room, the tea/coffee in the room and the 24/7 courtesy hot drinks available.
I enjoyed a comfortable and relaxing short stay made all the better by the hotel's friendly and attentive staff.

Great Hotel

Upon entering the hotel, it was very nice and clean. The employees were very delightful and I had a great time staying there. The room was kept clean daily and smelled great.

In a bit of a sketchy part of town

Pros: Close to the T.
Cons: Needs upgrading.
Hotel is very difficult to get into with a car. Confusing access, had to drive around it a couple of times. A bit of a sketchy neighborhood. A short walk to the T station, which was fine in the light, but after dark, we basically ran back to the hotel. Staff was very nice. Rooms are a bit "weathered", and not in great shape. Bathroom was fine, clean. Mainly the location we had issue with.

Close to Boston

Pros: The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was fresh. The room looked recently renovated as did the lobby.
Cons: I dislike the partial drapes Holiday Inn uses. You can't close the drapes to block out outside light. I prefer to sleep in darkness.
My family and I stayed one night. We found the room to be nicely appointed. I particularly liked the easy to find switches on the lamps. Usually hotel lamp switches are hidden around the base. The complimentary breakfast was very filling and the dining area was large. I found the front desk staff to be distracted. When we arrived around 3pm, I could hear the two workers in the back room talking. I was left at the desk approximately 2 minutes before being greeted. When checking me in, the worker said the correct things (welcoming me, asking why I was there) but it felt like she was reading a script rather than an actual conversation. There was nothing offensive in our interactions but it lacked the warmth I have experienced in other Holiday Inns.

AC problem

Pros: clean, good breakfast, proximity to TD Garden
Cons: AC!!!!
Location: close to T so you can get anywhere but next time I would try something else
We stayed one night for a hockey game. The wall mounted AC was noisy and near the bed. I could not turn it off, it was a nightmare, none of us could get a good sleep. Everything else was ok but the AC alone is a deal breaker.

Location, Location, Location

Pros: Staff was very friendly and responsive.
Cons: heat was hard to control in bedroom and living room. If it wasn't blasting, it was cold.
I enjoyed staying at the hotel; however, the location was not ideal and Boston cab and limo service is very expensive. Train and bus service is close-by but was generally not convenient for our purposes.

This hotel is nice.you have to walk about 4 blks to the t station but its not a horrible area so we walked late at night from a day in the city.the room i requested was upgraded to a suite but even though it was nice i booked a king for the fact im on vaca i like something diff than home but hey no biggie.room was clean and tidy and staff was nice and allowed a super early check in! Bfast was very well appointed. Id stay again.oh...wifi is a little weak we couldnt use it to facetime our kids but if youre in dire need theres a computer/printer in the lobby.
