Excellent hotel for access to Amtrak & subway.

Posted Feb 21, 2015
Because of weather-related delays and cancellations of public transportation options, I chose to stay overnight in Boston in order to catch an Amtrak train the following morning to NYC. I enjoyed a good night's sleep with a bonus! After bundling up to go out for dinner in spite of the harsh weather conditions (gotta eat, right?) I discovered the year-old cafe on the ground floor. It offers a fresh salad bar, handmade wraps created to order from a large selection of interesting ingredients, and many prepared entrees.

Good night's stay

Great basic hotel, all the things you need at a great price. I asked for a wake up call the night before and never got it. Would still recommend to friends.

Great location!

Posted Feb 19, 2015
Pros: The location was great!
Cons: The towels had some old looking stains on them. While I don't doubt they were clean, another round of thorough bleaching could have helped.
Location: Tons of restaurants that were easy to walk to. Also, Flours Bakery across the street is a must stop.
The hotel's location is AMAZING. It is located in the heart of Back Bay making it easy to walk to most places you might want to visit in the area, including numerous T stops and delicious restaurants. The hotel staff was friendly and very helpful, and you can't beat the room prices! The room was perfect for a short weekend in Boston and we would definitely recommend the hotel to anyone looking to stay in the city.

Good Hotel close to Copley square

The room was small, but great location for our trip. Lots of places to eat and shop close by. Also close to the T.

Brilliant Boston Location...

Posted Feb 2, 2015
Pros: The location was the main thing we liked about the hotel, everything you need is pretty much nearby. The hotel was very clean and room had everything.
Cons: Only thing we disliked was the room seemed to have a lot of static electricity and we keep getting shocked by one of the sheets on the bed. Ha
Location: As explain in our main experience everything was in good location and there's plenty to do!
Me and my partner went to Boston in the middle of January for a mini break - primarily to watch a UFC fight that was taking place but we really fell in love with the City of Boston, from the gorgeous buildings /architecture, amazing food and great service and lovely people whereever we went. There wasnt anything not to like. Whilst there for five days we did a tour of Fenway park home of the Red Sox and only wish the season had started whilst we were there. We visited Boston common and public gardens to see the bench featured in Good Will Hunting - quite an emotional moment when reading tributes to a Robin WIlliams. we couldn't resist a photo outside the Cheers bar featured in opening scenes of the sitcom. We also did the Freedom Trail and took in all the historical sites along the way. Food wise there are many restaurants to choose from. We enjoyed Rock Bottom for the American food experience but our breakfast at Trident Book store was AMAZING every time You must go there - ask to sit upstairs Lemon Ricotta French toast was gorgeous but be warned the portions are big!

Nice hotel to stay at.

Posted Jan 25, 2015
Pros: It was secure, clean and comfortable.
Cons: We were misled about the parking. Even though we had our ticket validated we were charged $67.
Location: The park, Cheers tavern and TD center all within walking distance.
The room was very comfortable and the staff was very helpful. It is within walking distance of local attractions and is located next to the rail station for more convenience.

Had a long weekend stay at Hotel 140. Great location with easy walking to everything you would want to see in Boston. Super friendly staff too.
