Excellent location

Posted Aug 30, 2014
Pros: Location, location, location. Very helpful and effective front desk staff. Clean and fresh.
Cons: Beds too lively. Rooms ineffectively arranged.
Location: Close to transport of all kinds. Near Newbury street
Very clean, good modernization. Small rooms, but we don't spend much time en suite, anyway. Very clean. But, our beds were "lively" (Either partner moves, it transmits movement to other. And, modern, clean and spartan decor coule easily be more effectively arranged in each of the two rooms (Stayed for 3 days, went elsewhere, came back for two more days.) to not only gain usable space, but be more visually appealing.

Very central, ideal location. We walked everywhere on foot. Boston common about 15 mins walk and Harbour about 20mins walk from Hotel. Plenty of bars, restaurants and shops just round the corner! Lovely staff and check out viga in hotel for breakie.

Small but convenient

Posted Aug 16, 2014
Pros: Location is great, wifi excellent, staff pleasant, and reasonable price. Air conditioning worked well but I could also open windows a bit which
Cons: Realize it is small and very basic. You can't sneak in an extra guest because there really isn't room
Location: Great back Bay Area block away from mall and ped-way to convention center. About 2 blocks from the Copley T station. Extremely convenient. Felt safe
Fairly basic room but staff was very nice and it was comfortable. Reminded me more of European hotels, everything I needed and the wifi was excellent. Extremely convenient. Near a T line giving access to all of Boston. Coffee maker worked well and room felt clean.

1st time to bean town

Posted Aug 13, 2014
The hotel was very clean, convenient to our proposed activities and reasonably priced for the area. I would recommend to others that are in Boston to see the city who are not as concerned with the hotel amenities as much as being comfort and convenience. I would recommend to others.

Very nice stay, room a little bit small and you hear noises from other rooms but overall it's a great place to stay.

Very good location but not worth the price

Posted Jul 29, 2014
Pros: The location
Cons: The price should be lowered to reflect the actual state of the establishment.
Location: It's right in the heart of Back Bay, near the Common, restaurants, shops and sights.
The hotel, which is in a former YWCA, is marketed as a boutique design hotel but it's really not. While it was fine for our purposes a place to sleep for the night it really isn't worth the price. The bath room was very basic and we found someone else's hair on one of our towels.

Good location in back bay

Posted Jul 26, 2014
Pros: Great location, close to metro
A budget hotel but I had to squeeze sideways along the edge of our double bed to get to my side, hitting my back several times on the plasma TV on the wall. We checked in early and the guy on reception said we could have the best room, so who knows how tiny the other rooms were!

Good room in a great location

Posted Jul 19, 2014
Pros: It's a bit different. And opposite a Bon Pain which is handy for breakfast!
Cons: The air conditioning needs updating
Location: You can easily walk to the park and good shops. There is a subway nearby to take you to the historical district and Fenway Park.
We don't like huge impersonal hotels, and this one has a bit of character and is in a helpful location. The only downside was the extraordinarily noisy air conditioning unit! The room was beautifully clean, though, and the toiletries were nice.
