Overpriced

Disappointed with the amenities. Front staff members were very mediocre and the taxi situation seemed sketchy. However the cleaning team did a wonderful job.

Excellence from every corner.

We were greeted with comp glasses of wine, given a lovely view from our room, & upon leaving were met with courteous front desk staff who mailed out our postcards & sent the baby blanket we left behind.

Visiting the kids

Pros: I liked the private oasis feeling of the hotel. I really liked the spa like bathroom. Great big comfortable room and bed.
Cons: Na.
Location: Visiting grandkids, park to jog and see the river.
First time staying here. Pleasantly surprised. What a gem in Boston. Would stay here again.

Friendly staff

We arrived after our daughter's bedtime and the staff was speedy and friendly. The man who checked us in even took the trouble to get a bottle of sparkling water when he heard our daughter ask me for some. The room was spacious, clean and quiet. The bathroom was also clean and a nice size. We only stayed one night but it was enough for us to get just what we needed. We would definitely return to the Marlowe.

Almost perfect

Pros: The very efficient and friendly staff.
Cons: Cannot have a river view for every room, so cannot help here.
Location: The Evoo restaurant is more than worth the 15 minute walk or $6 in Uber.
A very comfortable stay. Would have been perfect except for the courtyard view from our room. We had hoped for a river view, and was one of the reasons we selected the Marlowe over other more convenient locations. But are very pleased overall. The service was excellent, the room was very clean and comfortable, and the free coffee in the lobby was most welcome as we had an early airport departure.

Pros: Every member of the staff provided excellent service. Truly!
Location: Harvard; museums;Duck boats
Family trip to revisit many New England memories. We used Marlowe as home base.

Excellent hotel, very clean, nice rooms wasn't crazy about the hotel restaurant and the fact that you have to pay $20 for parking, but on the plus side you're right next to a mall!

Quiet side of Cambridge

On a couple of visits when good hotels near Harvard were book or over priced I've stayed at the Marlowe and never been disappointed. If anything, you get a lot more for your money if you don't mind driving the 2 mi. distance between the Harvard Sq. and Marlowe. One thing to be warned though, it is the longest 2 miles you'll ever drive... every light is red and the turn around time for each light is 2-3 minutes!!! Otherwise it's great to getaway from the hustle and bustle of Harvard square.
