“Comfottable hotel for great price”
This hotel is not fancy but it was reasonably comfortable and the staff was friendly and thoughtful. We were close to the T station. The price was very good, for both the room and parking. Wi-Fi was free.
“Disgusting doesn't do it justice”
The beds are uncomfortable. The front desk attendant didn't speak English. There were stains on the walls, carpet, curtains and pillowcases. I got a non smoking room and it smelled like cigarette smoke. There was a crack in the window and a hole in the frame. None of the lamps put off enough light to make a difference. The thermostat didn't work at all and wall paper was peeling off of the walls. There were scratches on the mirror and the timer for the heat lamp in the bathroom didn't work therefore the heat lamp didn't work. The upside- Fenway park is about 40 feet away and the hotel is about 4 blocks from a T stop.
“it is what it is”
carpet and interior could use some updating, but overall bathroom was fairly good and bed was comfortable. nice to have a fridge and clean sheets.
“Well located but old”
We stayed 2 night there and I slept well. It is just beside Fenway park and not too far from a subway station. The pool was closed indefinetly. The roof was leeking in the corridor. It is old and need to be renovated. The floor was uneven in the room and the service was a little cold. There were no way to change the AC temperature in the room and it was a little cold. It was a little pricy for what you get but this is Boston. It is a good place to stay but don't expect too much.
“Not impressed”
Filthy hotel
“Great location, great staff.”
Great last minute deal.
“Not planning to return.”
I wasn't expecting elegant accomodations, but even by my fairly relaxed standards, this place was a dump. I will not stay here again. Adding insult to injury: $20 for overnight parking in a crowded, poorly plowed lot.
“Location”
The location was most convenient to the Massachusetts Historical Library, n easy 10 min walk. I would not recommend the restaurant as it is very expensive and the food is not that good. Not the typical HoJo as the restaurant is Chinese.
“Go to a Redsox game next tiem”
The hotel shows major signs of wear and tear. The location and price were very good and the staff was friendly and professional. Not a good family hotel, but the price was consistent with the amenities.
“Decent hotel for a good price!”
I was trying to plan a trip to Boston on the cheap, so I was relatively happy with my stay at this hotel considering the price I paid for the room. The hotel itself is rundown and can use some updating, but our room itself was clean and relatively comfortable, though with a few issues. The thermostat was a bit temperamental. The room was also lacking in easily accessible power outlets, so be warned if you're traveling with various electronic devices that need charging! The front desk staff were helpful (though not overly friendly) and receptive to any problems we had. I actually really enjoyed the neighborhood we were in. Several options of places to eat, a T stop within walking distance, and I never felt unsafe out at night. Great hotel option if you're catching a game at Fenway or a show at the House of Blues (which is what we did! It's about a five minute walk around the corner.)
