“Excellent Service and Great Experience”
Except for a power failure one morning, our stay at the Hyatt Regency Boston was excellent. We arrived to check in at the same time as three other parties and there was only one hotel employee at the reception desk; however, within seconds, three other employees came and were able to help everyone in line immediately. During the morning of the power failure, the employees set up battery-powered lights and stationed themselves in various areas with flashlights. They kept us informed of the status of the power and allowed us to use the employee restrooms, the service elevators, the back stairs, and even helped us carry our stroller down to street level so we could enjoy our day in Boston. We had breakfast at the hotel restaurant every morning and were greeted by the same waiter who would immediately get our coffee and orange juice without needing to be asked. The few times we ate dinner in the restaurant, we were seated in the same area and had the same two waiters who greeted us and asked how our day had been. Overall, the service was prompt and excellent and we only had one complaint: one night we ordered room service and it took them three tries to get one portion of our order correct. This was, unfortunately, rather late in the evening; however, they complied with our request not to call us, they fixed the order quickly each time, and removed the item from our bill. We were extremely satisfied with our stay and would recommend the hotel.
“Brilliant Hotel”
The Hyatt Regency was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in, and the price wasn't that bad either. Oh my God, and that bed, me and my girlfriend didn't ever want to leave that bed, it's the most comfortable bed ever. So, I highly recommend it to anybody who wants a nice, confortable, central stay in Boston.
“Great location”
This was my first trip to Boston, and as far as I'm concerned, the location was perfect. I prefer to use public transportation, and the hotel was easy to reach from the airport via the subway. I was within an easy walk from Boston Common, Chinatown, and all the major downtown tourist spots. The front desk staff was friendly, although I only talked to them at check-in time. The room was clean, the beds were ultra comfortable (lots of pillows), and the hot water in the bathroom worked very well. I don't know if the thermostat accurately reflected the room temperature but it was cool enough after a long day of walking! My only complaint would be the elevators. While I didn't mind the short elevator ride from the ground floor to the lobby, the elevators in the hotel proper were painfully slow at times. At least one elevator was out of service the entire weekend. All in all, though, I would definitely recommend this hotel.
“Boston Wedding”
Went to Boston for a wedding and this hotel was the best. Everything was clean, comfortable and convenient. The location was especially nice, right in the middle of everything.
“Nice ... not in a hurry to go back”
Great hotel, however outside hotel the streets are a bit naff!
“Good location, reasonable price”
second stay in 3 years and same quality. Room very comfortable. Concierge quite helpful. Breakfast a little expenive and lacks choice if you do not take the buffet. We would return to same hotel on our next visit to Boston.
“Great hotel, great location”
Great price, awesome location...
“Great Location for SightSeeing!”
I just spent a long weekend at the Hyatt to celebrate a birthday. The service was fantastic. Our room was very comfortable and everything was in fine working order. We splurged on room service and I was impressed with the quality of the food. The bar downstairs was welcoming (Go Celtics!) and we met the most interesting fellow travelers and hotel employees outside at the smoking area every evening... Too bad the law won't let us bring our drinks outside to where the REAL party is happening! :-)
“Superb Central Location”
Although the area in which this hotel is situated is in need of and is receiving regeneration this hotel is perfectly situated for the tourist. Brilliant sites like fanieul hall, quincy market and the waterfront are 5 minutes walk and in the other direction, Boston Common, Newbury St shopping and the Hancock Centre is 5 and 10 minutes respectively. Macys store is situated at the back of the hotel and chinatown is on the doorstep. Although this isnt a premiuim hotel in quality terms it is great value for money. Service staff are second to none in particular, the concierge were very helpful in local knowledge. Will stay there again
“A top quality hotel”
This is an up-market hotel with superb rooms and facilities. The beds are very cumfortable. The staff were very friendly and (though relatively expensive) the food was excellent. For those visiting for a couple of days it's an ideal base to explore the City of Boston. I'd particularly recommend the buffet breakfast, all you can eat and freshly cooked for you The hotel is within easy reach of a variety of restaurants so you are not confined to hotel dining. Whilst car parking is expensive, the car park is well lit and easy to get in and out of. The Interstate is just a couple of blocks away so onward journeys are easy. I'd recommend this hotel to anybody
