Cambridge / Boston stayPosted Jul 7, 2015
Pretty good hotel . Well located for walking to Cambridge . Nice view of Boston over the water . Buffet breakfast was excellent but a little pricey . Pool and gym excellent . The bar area is a little soulless as it is combined with day restaurant . There is no lounge sitting area to relax . The rooms were good size . The hotel is a little dated . Staff however were helpful and friendly !

Pros: Spacious, quiet, shuttle bus, friendly staffs
Cons: More frequent shuttles to more destinations. There are 5-6 destinations on the shuttle list, but only goes to 2-3 places daily.
Location is on the river side in a very quite neighborhood. However, its advantage is also its disadvantage as there is no place to shop and dine, except in the hotel, not even a convenient store nearby. Hotel shuttle takes you across the Boston River (a 15 min walk if you go on foot) for Mexican food, coffee shop and trolley stop. There you can catch the trolley (US$2.10 one way if you buy a pass called Charlie Card, otherwise it is US$2.40) or a 45 min walk to Boston downtown, theater district and China Town. A 20-25 min walk from the hotel along MIT and Massachusetts Ave takes you to H-Mart, a big Korean convenient store with casual but comfy sit down eateries: Ramen, curry, sushi. From there, a 20 minute walk takes you to Harvard Square. Alternatively, hotel shuttle takes you to Harvard Square (west), Kendall Square (for subway to city center) or Cambrigeside Mall (east). Beware: Hotel shuttle specifically lists 5-6 destinations but it only goes to 2-3 main ones daily as described above. Driving is tricky as there are lots of 1 way streets downtown, but other places are fine. But people from Boston are used to walk, especially the students. All in all, Boston is a fun place with friendly people, even the bearded guy who was doing meditating yoga on the streetside, rose to ask if we needed direction. Naturally we appreciated his friendly gesture, however we would appreciate more if we can understand what he (in his yoga ecstasy??) was murmuring about. LOL

Great hotel close to both Harvard and MIT squares.Posted Jun 30, 2015
Pros: Location, staff, bed comfort and shuttle service.
Location: Close to Harvard Square, MIT and BU. It is only a 12-15 minutes car ride to Aquarium. I strongly suggest a Charlie card for travel throughout Boston.
We stayed here for a three night stay when visiting Boston. We had a room on the interior side with no noise, but also had room with a river view; while the Boston/river view was great and it was fun to see all the crew teams practicing on the rivers, it was definitely louder with traffic. This hotel is right in the middle of Harvard, MIT and BU and offers on-demand shuttle service to all three areas. Overall would highly recommend this hotel.

Quick tripPosted Jun 24, 2015
My son was doing a camp at MIT and our other son has autism. The staff was friendly and helpful, not to mention quick. Our room had a lovely view and room arrow as quick and tasty. This was our second stay and will definitely be coming back again

Stayed two night s in the hotel. The hotel staff seemed to only make the bed for us. Nothing appeared to be cleaned for our second night stay. The hotel was comfortable, but I will not revisit.

Great river views and superb breakfasts. Large room but had to ask for a fridge.
