Very convenient location at a great price!Posted Aug 19, 2014
Pros: Location, breakfast, comfort level.
Cons: Not a hotel I'd stay in if I thought I would spend a lot of time in the room, but had in room safe, refrigerator, etc.
Location: Mandarin Convention Hotel site, Newbury and nearby streets. Very walkable, and a lot of shops and restaurants right in the area.
Newbury Guest Hotel is in a very convenient location at a great price including breakfast! Rooms and bathrooms are somewhat small but comfortable for 1-2 people. Included in room safe and refrigerator which was nice. Staff was friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.

Brilliant guest house in best part of BostonPosted Aug 17, 2014
Pros: It is right in the middle of the most fashionable street in Boston. The staff are excellent and the room was overlooking Newbury St.
Cons: Breakfast is a bonus but is the same everyday- fruit, bacon, eggs, toast, juice.
Location: Newbury St is THE fashionable street for shops and restaurants. There are 2 metros nearby at Copley and Hynes. The Prudential shopping Centre is nearby.
Boston was part of our 2 week stay with NYC being the second week.Boston is much more compact and less frenetic than New York.I would recommend staying in Newbury St rather than downtown as Newbury St is more fashionable and lots to do.

Nice hotel in back bay district.Posted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: Really liked that it was small (only 4 stories) being (I think) 3 row houses converted into an hotel.
Cons: Nothing comes to mind.
Location: Trendy back bay district with shops and resturants all around. Easy walk to Fenway and Boston Common.
Great service, large room, very comfortable and quiet.

Charming Hotel..Posted Aug 11, 2014
Cons: More selection of breakfast.
Location, location, very accessible to all attractions. I would recommend Logan airport express to go to the hotel. It is hassle free and it takes only 20 minutes to the Convention Center and 5 minutes of walk to the hotel. John at the reception desk is very friendly and helpful.

Newberry HotelPosted Aug 9, 2014
Pros: The location and access to shops, restaurants, city landmarks, and public transportation.
Cons: The room we had was near the elevator so the it was noisy at times. Air conditioning was blew directly on the bed so it was a bit uncomfortable.
We enjoyed staying on busy Newberry Street. We like to visit different neighborhoods when we stay in Boston. It was nice to be in the heart of a busy, bustling, neighborhood.

Love BostonPosted Aug 5, 2014
We arrived to find Newbury Street in full glory. Our room faced this fun street and for a moment thought it could be noisy. It was not. I liked the feel of a brownstone and of being able to walk around the area day or night. If you are looking for the standard hotel feel you might not be happy with the hotel. If you want something different with charm and convenience this is for you. We will be back often

PerfectPosted Jul 29, 2014
Pros: Charm of 1800's. Owned by same family for generations. Very comfortable. Very nice staff. Parking there, just walk or take T system or trolley
Cons: Can't think of anything
Location: Walk to Public Gardens, Boston Commons ( Shakespeare summer theater in park free ), Cheers, Charles River, Statehouse. Near rail and trolley stops.
If you want a place that is authentic old Boston and close and convenient to everything, this is the right place. The staff were always nice and very helpful. The room was lovely. Easy walk to Public Gardens/Boston Commons and Charles River. Lots of great restaurants and shops on Newbury St. to walk to. Loved Kashmir restaurant. Also great food on-site.

Nice hotel, excellent locationPosted Jul 28, 2014
Pros: We loved that the hotel was in a very authentic "Boston" building with character and charm. Our room was tastefully decorated and roomy.
Location: We absolutely loved that the Charles River Esplanade, Public Gardens and start of the Freedom Walk were just a short walk away!
There was a minor mix up with the room we reserved/received. The staff kindly waived our parking fee for 2 days to compensate. We really appreciated being able to park the car and walk for the duration of our stay. We intended to use Boston's efficient public transportation but found that due to the hotel's excellent location, we were able to walk everywhere. Our room was very comfortable and clean. We had more than enough room for our family of 3.
