Excellent position on main street but not noisy.

Pros: Decent room, excellent breakfast and helpful staff.
Cons: No coffee/tea in room. It was available in lounge but I was not aware of that at first.
Location: Close to lots of shops and restaurants.
Great position for exploring the lovely city of Boston.

Charming, comfortable place to stay-great location

Posted Jul 14, 2014
Perfectly located in a vibrant community. Odd room numbers face Newbury Street-great for watching the bustle. Even numbers the back of the building-quieter. Lots of shops and eateries. The staff is friendly and efficient. We will definitely stay here on our next trip to Boston.

Great hotel, great location

Posted Jun 26, 2014
Cons: The only downside is the rooms are very noisy. You could hear noise from other guests and their TV's.
Location: Location is perfect, could not ask for a best location.
This is a great hotel, lovely building. Close to lots of nice restaurants and shops. Best street in Boston.

Great location. Walkable neighborhood.

Excellent stay for a family of four with a preteen and a teenager. A nicely prepared hot breakfast at hotel's Roost Bistro. Loved the small intimate size of 32 rooms total. Staff accommodated a request to switch to a front room half way through our stay so that we could experience the Newbury St frontage. Enjoyed the front room a lot more...not at all noisy and the view beats the back alley's.

The guest house had a great feel about it, it was clean, homely and comfortable. We enjoyed being able to step outside and have so many shops, restaurants and bars so easily accessible. Would definitely return.

Close to shops and nice restaurants.

Pros: Centrally located. On site restaurant open at night.
Cons: Breakfast options
Location: Shopping at brand stores, restaurants, hop-on-hop-off bus close by, walk to Freedom Trail.
Very convenient location. Initial room was located right next to lift and very noisy, but was relocated for the rest of my stay to a quieter room. Breakfast was very uninspired, scrambled eggs yet again. Couldn't get a piece of toast or some jam (they don't do that). Other that that it was very nice and the staff were very polite and helpful.

Great Hotel Great Location

Pros: Location location, location and the feel of a small hotel.
Nice boutique hotel in a fantastic neighbourhood. Close to bars and restaurants and walking distance to Fenway park. Bathrooms are small but the beds are very comfortable and the rooms of adequate size to store luggage.
