Good in a Pinch

Posted Apr 10, 2014
Pros: Service by attendants and room service. Food choices.
Cons: Better pillows, shower doors, and some type of TV channel guide.
Location: I wouldn't venture outside too far. Lots of questionable teens stood on the corners 1-3 blocks away.
I booked my stay at the Nine Zero after most of my first choices were full. The rates were decent. The staff was fantastic. The room accommodations, however, were wanting. The pillows were the worse I've ever seen (appearing to be feather-filled). Otherwise, the bed was fine. The TV wasn't the best and there was no printed channel directory. After my shower, I noticed large puddles of water on the floor. Again, it was good in a pinch, but if I had a better alternative, I wouldn't book a room there again.

Hello, We are centrally located for hitting the major points of interest, such as nearby Boston Common and the Financial District. If you prefer non-feather pillows we have a great selection from our pillow menu. I’m sorry about the water on the bathroom floor and that we don’t offer a channel guide. Regards, Thomas

Excellent Hotel

Posted Apr 5, 2014
Pros: Modern, spotless, great shower.
Location: Right on the common, in the heart of the Freedom Trail. 'T' line station close by.
Great location, right on Boston Common. Quick and easy check in with an upgrade for making a slam dunk into the basket. Special thanks to the girls who tried to alter my Amtrak reservation.(Rachel and Elizabeth) I think.

Hello John A, I’m thrilled you were able to get into the spirit of the NCAA Tournament and showed off your mad skills. I’m glad you enjoyed our central location, and the attempt by Rachel and Elizabeth (you got it right) to assist you with your travel plans. Next up; home run derby! Well maybe that’s not such a good idea. Thomas

Nice, but just okay. Not a $300 a night xperience

Posted Mar 25, 2014
Pros: the staff
Cons: The price
Location: Just about everything. Not a particularly dodgy part of town but edgy, lots of college kids and panhandlers. perfect location for show going
Hard to find on Tremont, no distinguishing features to draw you to parking. Didn't see it until the second pass...breakfast was too expensive. The stay was pleasant, the staff especially the concierge, were wonderful and extremely helpful. The room was very chic, trendy, loved the shower just too small

Hello, I’m glad you enjoyed our location, but had a little trouble finding us on Tremont. As you know now, we are directly across the street from the historical Granary Burying ground. I was pleased to note you received excellent service from our concierge and found the décor of the guest room to be modern. We look forward to your next visit, Thomas

Nine zero is well located in downtown boston close to Common. The staff was amazing and the room extremely comfortable with amazing linen. Breakfast restaurant wasn't good and was expensive.

Business/Pleasure combined trip

Posted Mar 12, 2014
Pros: Rooms very comfy, Staff great
Hotel in great position, close to subway and right on Freedom Trail. Easy to walk to most places from here. Used as a base for part business, part pleasure trip at end of February. Rooms are very well proportioned but views may not be great from windows at side, however, we didn't spend much time in room during the day. Enjoy the lazy breakfast served in the 2nd floor lounge and doubling as a bar most evenings. Staff were excellent, without exception and the evening wine reception adds a great buzz in the reception area. They also served a hot apple drink - just what was needed after the freezing temperatures outside. There was always fresh water available in the entrance and coffee on the 2nd floor in the morning (at no extra cost). If visiting Boston again would most definitely stay here again.

Great Staff Great Location

Posted Mar 12, 2014
Overall it was a wonderful place to stay with a wonderful staff and clean comfortable room. It was a great location and we were able to walk to almost every where we wanted to go. I do wish that they would leave the coffee and tea station out longer. It would have been nice to have a hot cup of tea or coffee in the afternoon after walking in the brisk weather. However, the fruit infused water in the lobby was amazing and seemed to always be out and replenished regularly. We did not go to the restaurant as it was a little too noisy for our taste but the room service was awesome.

Hello Laura H, I am glad you made the most of our central location and were able to explore the city. I’m sorry the coffee and tea isn’t maintained all day, but we do offer hot cider in the late afternoon in the lobby; perfect after a chilly day. Room service is certainly a great option if you don’t think our Highball Lounge is your kind of scene. See you soon, Thomas

Great hotel in downtown boston!

Posted Feb 17, 2014
Loved the hotel! We have stayed in a Kimpton Hotel before in San Diego, I highly recommend the chain. The appearance was very modern but beautiful artwork and It was very pet friendly. Very nice rooms and the beds are extremely comfortable. The only thing I noticed in the room was that it was glass shower door and the water leaked through the crack and it made the floor all wet. Other than that, it was in a great area and it was very comforting. Would definitely stay again!
