Aesthetically pleasing and perfect service.

Posted Jul 14, 2014
To start our trip, the two women at the from desk were very friendly and helpful. Without mention from either of us, they sent a complimentary bottle of champagne for my boyfriends birthday after seeing it was his birthday on his ID. The room was clean, modern and contained all things necessary in a hotel room. Multiple chairs, desk, ihome, iron, mini bar, stocked bathroom, wine key, room service through the night, etc. Later in the night, the woman from the front desk (that sent the champagne) found us a restaurant to eat at with an open table. Overall it was a great Boston hotel experience and we will absolutely go back and recommend it to our friends.

Pros: Great location. Excellent service - super!
Cons: Nothing as far as I could tell.
Location: Downtown crossing (shopping), good proximity to financial district, very close to Boston Common.
Quick checkin and out. Friendly, quiet, very well located. Room had not much of a view but the room was very large and well appointed. Could not be happier - will return.

Modern springboard in oldest part of Boston

Posted Jul 10, 2014
Pros: In the centre of everything, yet within the sound of the Park Church bells, and with views over the treetops of the Common.
Cons: The decor is pitched somewhere between an up-market cocktail club and a young male executive's aspirational apartment. Not to everyone's taste.
Location: Walk the Freedom Trail, visit the King's Chapel and Burying Ground next door, wander over the cobbled streets of Beacon Hill.
We enjoyed three nights at Nine Zero--a friendly, sleek hotel on the Freedom Trail near Boston Common. Despite the snazzy city vibe, the staff were cheerful and helpful and the facilities excellent.

Perfect location

Posted Jul 7, 2014
Have just spent a great week at the Nine Zero. It's location is ideal - near the State House & start of the Freedom Trail, it's an easy walk to all the sites and a stroll across the Common and Public Garden gets you to great shopping & lots more. The staff were helpful and knowledgeable and my room, although at the back of the hotel so no view, was amazingly quiet and very comfortable. Highly recommended.

Pros: Everything....
Location: Was here to visit the colleges, several of them....
Nine Zero is not the first Kimpton hotel I stayed. All are excellent, Note Zero is not exceptional. Good location, nice staff in all departments, very comfortable room, leaving alone wine tasting in the evenings....

Great boutique hotel and location

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean with a pleasant scent that will always remind of my stay. We cannot wait to go back to Boston! I would have preferred that the incidentals charge be explained before I was charged a few hundred dollars unexpectedly.

Excellent hotel, except for the view

Posted Jun 30, 2014
Enjoyed a stay of 3 nights. Excellent location, close to historical sites and transit. Clean room, standard size, but unfortunately a view of a brick wall just a few feet away. Staff were polite and efficient. Wine hour is a nice touch and very popular. Breakfast in the lounge was good. Would recommend the hotel and stay there again, but not without some view of the outside world.

Pros: Nothing to write here.
Cons: Too much to write here.
Location: Freedom trail, Boston Common.
If you expect 4.5 star do NOT stay here. I had to change my room three times in order for it to be bearable so I didn't lose 300 dollars to move hotels. I had read some negative reviews on Expedia but because I've had such great past experiences from different Kimpton properties or 4 star Boston hotels for that matter I purchased here anyway. 1. It is extremely small and dark. The combo equals a tomb. Be prepared for nightmares. This really isn't an exaggeration. 2. All three of the rooms were overly perfumed and had a thick film of dust. If you have allergies or sensitivities - call before you go. 3. First impression of staff was really unpleasant. It's all about first impressions. If you are come here strictly for the location and plan to spend next to no time at the hotel, it's fine I suppose. Doesn't deserve the rating and for half that price you can get SO much more a block away.
