“Cheap and in Boston”
We used to stay here because it was close to my grandmother, but since she's passed away we still stay because if you book early enough it is very reasonable, and it's close to just about everything. They even have a shuttle to take you to the nearest T stop and to the airport. This is not a luxury hotel, but they serve a complimentary continental breakfast and there's a restaurant on site, along with an awesome candy store and one of the few bowling alleys in town. They also have free parking and a refrigerator and microwave in some rooms.
“Not impressed”
The hotel staff was very accommodating, but the hallways were rundown and our heat didn't work well
“ok”
ok
“Not Worth the Low Price”
Too far from public transportation, poor lighting, shabby condition of room, terrible access to rooms.
“Good Place to Go”
The Ramada was older, but fixed up very nicely. Staff made every effort to satisfy any need. Breakfast was good. Location was good in a limited way. There were 2 restaurants to walk to and both were pretty good: one fancier than the other in a bowling alley. However, the bowling alley had great pizza and delivered within 20 minutes! The real clincher was the candy store, well-known all over Boston. The train was convenient with a ride from the hotel shuttle, and even better was the trolly that came every morning at 8:30 and took us to the center of Boston. The best part was that the water was soft and didn't totally mess up our hair like most hotels. Also full cable TV. Worst part - the pool was closed. Of course it was October and the weather was in the 60s. Not fancy, but clean and nice.
“Right for the money”
I wasn't on a tourist type trip and this was appropriate for the price. Beds hard, but otherwise room was comfortable.
“Worst service in the Boston area”
The people at the hotel were so rude and the surrounding area wasso ugly that I decided to change hotels after my first night.
“Boston”
Hotel is a good value but there are two things to be aware of that knock them down alittle. 1. The hotel is large and confusing to locate your room. They need more signage. 2. The traffic noise from the expressway is pretty loud. Ask for a room on the boulevard side!
“Will not return.”
Stayed one night at the neighboring hotel, Comfort Inn which was much nicer. The Ramada Inn is owned by the same people so the service and breakfast were comparable, but the rooms were less desirable!
“Third stay is the final time”
This was the third time I have stayed at this location, this time for a three night stay. One would assume that for three nights, I would have received a decent room. It was, without question, the worst room I was ever assigned at this hotel. The carpet had a tackiness to it that I dared not walk on it barefoot. The fitted sheet was so thin that I could see the ribboning of the mattress underneath. The fixtures were old, probably from the 80s. The layout of the room was terrible: I bumped into the desk chair each time I entered the room. Oh, and the door lock needed maintenance for it did not always allow me to deadbolt it shut. Housecleaning never restocked my coffee or ice bucket bag. This hotel is in need of a major renovation. Only its location is of value in its current state.
