“Great Hotel Great staff, a Great location...”
Well the hotel and its staff really make your stay easy and welcomed, the location is ideal for shopping or just taking in the sights and sounds of the city, the resturants are close by the food is excellent, and mall is just a few steps away all in all we had a great time and cant wait to come back!!
“Great service!”
We have stayed at this hotel many times and always enjoyed it. But this time, the staff went that little bit extra that really makes them standout. At check in, the staff asked us if we had stayed at the hotel before and we said we had. Without asking, they upgraded us to a river side view room simply for having been a frequent customer. The view was spectacular! Later on in our stay, my daughter who had been travling for several weeks for business all over the country called down to the front desk to see if there were robes available (she hadn't had room in her luggage for one). The staff quickly provided a plush robe and slippers! We also had room serivce for breakfast one day which was prompt, hot and delicious. They actually bring it on a table so you aren't stuck trying to eat on your bed or at the desk. Later in our stay we also ate at the hoitel restaurant, Dante's for dinner. This was the only slight dip in an otherwise good stay - although the food was good, portions were small and prices were high. My advice is to eat at one of the many good restaurants in the area - we were just tired and didn't want to go back out.
“Excellent place to stay”
I was very impressed by the hospitality of all of the staff we encountered. Our room was very clean - loved the modern decor!- and we had a great view. It was a 10 minute walk to a nearby T station and a pleasant 20 minute walk to Boston. It was great to be able to go for walks along the river right from the front door of our hotel.Parking was very convenient and with our package it was free - a great extra. We would definitely stay here on our next trip to Boston.
“always stay here in boston”
Royal Sonesta is in a great location and always has great service. Two complaints I would list after staying there many times: no complimentary coffee in the lobby in the morning is annoying (especially when coffee in the cafe is $3 a cup), and the gym equipment is very dated and needs maintenance work (two machines were out of commission during our stay). Still, I will keep coming back ...
“Great spot, view, and room”
Spacious room, great view, helpful and friendly staff, loved it.
“Sonesta Boston”
The hotel is right on the Cambridge side of the river. I enjoyed strolling by the riverside in the evenings. The room was small, but had a great view which they gave me without asking since I was staying for a week. Staff and concierge were very helpful and I was happy with the shuttle service to Copley Place where I was attending a conference.
“Poor accommendations”
Staff was wonderful and helpful, room very nice but accommendations were poor, no vending machines, you are forced to bring in food and drink from the outside or pay for the mini bar. I thought I had a complimentary bottle of water only to find out they charged $6.00 for it. No shuttle to the airport.
“Good hotel but a walk to independent shops and bars”
Good size rooms and comfortable bed. Ask for view of Charles river. Nice pool and hot-tub plus gym. There is a mall opposite for chain restaurants but take a walk up Cambridge St for cool selection of bars and restaurants.
“It was lovely hotel. Nice location!!!”
Loved staying at this hotel. The location is perfect. Love to go back...
“Not impressed”
According to bedbugs registry, there has been a complaint by another guest. When I arrived the 1st night, there were female hairs on my bed. Although, I stayed there for 6 nights, I was never told that I had access to a free boat ride, bikes, or ice-cream. I only find out the last night I stayed there. Both restaurants at the hotel are very good. The indoor pool is awesome. The location is great.
