Wonderful hotel

Posted Jul 9, 2014
Pros: The whole experience.
Cons: Elevators from the lobby were a bit clogged but there was a large conference taking place during our stay.
The Seaport hotel is a great place to stay in Boston. The World Trade Center T stop is a short walk off the plaza level doors for easy access to anywhere you want to go. The staff is really what makes this hotel though. From check in to departure we were impressed with the entire staff. They were all polite and extremely helpful. We'd definitely stay here again.

Nice, clean and with helpful staff

Posted Jul 7, 2014
The hotel is clean, the staff is very helpful. It was a bit far for what I was trying to do, but the taxi rides were inexpensive. Overall it was a good experience. I would return.

Posh and environmentally conscious

Posted Jul 3, 2014
Pros: Environmentally conscious, on site athletic facility and transit station, comfy bedding.
Location: A block from the pier and near waterside walkway from center of city. Walking distance to all major sites in Boston and T lines.
Found this hotel via Expedia "lottery" --didn't know the hotel, but got a great discount. They checked us in 4 hours early; safe, free parking on site, even to midnight after checkout. VERY COMFORTABLE and modern. All the big and small amenities I like: bathrobe, cushy bedding, wall mounted tv, athletic facility (with steam room!), bar, restaurant, smallish pastry and coffee cafe, coffee in room...I could go on. Though it's in an area of Boston that has a lot of construction right now, it doesn't interfere. My husband and I walked downtown, but there's a free coach that runs regularly to a number of different sites. We used it on our way to a Redsox game. Furthermore, the hotel is connected to the World Trade Center which means a silver line transit stop; we connected from the T after the game, so it runs late. Last, I REALLY appreciated the hotel's commitment to conservation. They're about more than suggesting we reuse our towels. First recycling bin I've seen in any hotel room, shampoo and conditioning dispensers in the shower, thermostat automatically adjusts to empty room. Plus, hypoallergenic bedding and air filter. We could borrow bikes if we wanted, too! Wished we could have stayed longer.

Birthday trip

Posted Jul 3, 2014
Pros: Everything -all staff were really pleasant-our waiter too was excellent and unfortunately I can't remember his name.
Cons: Nothing at all
Location: Excellent location plus easy access to a Downtown Crossing area - we had tickets to the hop on, hop off trolley.
We were able to check in early as the room was available (11.30). The receptionist, Tahena (not sure of spelling) was excellent -moved us to a higher floor and threw in breakfast for two mornings when she heard it was fiancé birthday trip. I was totally amused by the tv in the bathroom mirror ... Lol. The hotel location was excellent - easy to get to downtown crossing and lots of restaurants around! Unfortunately we didn't get to use the pool and gym as we were busy. Would 100 percent stay here again and recommend to family and friends.

Beautiful view of the Boston Harbor

Posted Jul 2, 2014
Pros: Great customer service
Cons: Keep the pool open longer (closed at 8:00 p.m.). When we returned from our busy days, we weren't able to swim.
Location: GREAT local restaurants! Jerry Remy's Sports Bar (we ate there 3 times). Walking distance to the Tea Party Museum, the Children's Museum and the T.
Excellent customer service. The front desk staff and concierge were incredibly friendly and helpful. We had car service (free) that took us to a couple of different appointments and to the local subway station. The room had an amazing view of the Boston Harbor and seaport area. The room was very comfortable with ample room in the bathroom. Beds were comfortable.

Not military veteran friendly

Posted Jul 1, 2014
When I arrived I asked the lady if they offered any accommodations for military veterans. Just returning home first family trip with husband and daughter etc. .. she said I don't think so and you purchased your stay trough Expedia. (That was odd) I asked if she could ask the manager... she agreed. And mind you he was standing there the entire time. Not once did he greet me or even look at me. I also mentioned I'm not asking for a free room. How about discounting the daily parking fee. The manager looked at his employee and said NO. Ok no big deal. I said thank you took my key and went about my business. The only staff that was friendly, helping, courteous, and knowledgeable was concierge member named Jillian. During my check out I expressed to her how I felt about the hotel not acknowledging active military or veterans. She took off one night parking. Well thank you Jillian I rather pay $65 than $100 during my 3 night stay at your hotel.
