Great location!

Hotel is across from the Boston Common; walking distance to the main sites. But if you need to take the Subway, it is right there as well. Hotel staff let us check-in early. They were very friendly and helpful when it came to the Boston sites and restaurants. Maid service was great too.

Great Location

Posted Sep 15, 2014
Pros: The close proximity to amenities and easy access to many interesting sights.
Cons: Tea / coffee making facilities in room.
Location: Across the road from Boston Public Gardens / Boston common. Near Boylston Road for shopping. A 25 minute walk to Quincy Market/Fanueil Hall
On our first visit to Boston, we struck gold in choosing the Taj. The hotel is on the corner of Arlington and Newbury Streets across from the Boston Public Gardens. Access from Logan Airport by Silver line shuttle bus and underground was easy and cheap - it was free to get into Boston from the Airport! The room was very comfortable and the staff very welcoming.

Cool in the heat!

Posted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: Not too big, great aircon, smart and civilised surroundings, option of Indian food,.
Cons: I always think there should be a changing room in a hotel, somewhere that can be used to change into travelling clothes after you have checked out.
Location: Right on Boston Common so perfect for trolley stop number 6 on the trolley tour.15 mins walk to all important historical sites.
Well located luxury hotel and in 32 Degrees C outdoor heat a welcome oasis of air conditioned comfort. Indian food also a welcome choice for Brits. The bar food was exceptionally good and not mind-blowingly huge portions to frighten you off. Definitely a hotel to introduce some calm after a hectic day of sightseeing.

Location and staff is great!

Posted Aug 26, 2014
Pros: I was really happy with the location right next to Newberry and across the street from the gardens.
Cons: Could use free Wi-Fi for the price. The rugs and d├ęcor need updating.
Location: Next to Boston Commons, the gardens, Newberry for shopping.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was a little on the small size. Bathroom was very nice and updated but very small. I didn't expect much more than that for such an old yet grand building. Its absurd that a hotel of this caliber and price point charges for Wi-Fi.

Great location

Posted Aug 25, 2014
Pros: Location, the staff, the Cafe and the Bar.
Cons: Room smell and cleanliness
Location: Public Gardens and Boston Common, the Parish Cafe, just pick a direction and start walking.
Check in was great, we arrived several hours before however they took our bags, verified our phone number and called when the room was ready. The room was nice, however needed to be more thoroughly cleaned and had a musty smell to it.

Great service. Great location. Feels luxurious

Posted Aug 19, 2014
Got a discounted rate and used an Expedia coupon, which put it within reach. Don't normally spend that kind of money on luxury hotels, but I now understand why people do. It was great. Get a room facing the Commons if you can. It's a glorious view. And, the location is just unbeatable for Boston. Great great stay.

Mother Daughter mini vacation at the Taj

Posted Aug 16, 2014
I am always thrilled with my stay at the Taj. The great location to the park, shopping and Newberry street make it the perfect place for me to stay. I love that it is not a huge property and I feel after my fourth stay this year that I am recognized and welcomed . The fact that daughters office is three blocks away makes it convenient for us to meet for lunch and after her work day.
