great hotel in a terrific location

Posted Nov 25, 2014
The hotel is wonderful. I can't say enough about the quality of the staff. They are attentive and friendly without being intrusive. My only criticism is I would have liked lights in the bathroom on a dimmer switch. The bathrooms are too dim for applying makeup but are just right for taking a soothing hot bath. The rooms are immaculate and spacious. I will definitely stay at the Ta

Boston

Great location. Staff variable level of friendliness. No top sheet on bed. When asked the housekeeping staff handed us the sheet. Later his supervisor claimed laziness on his part...and that he was adequately trained.

Great location, nice room

Posted Nov 20, 2014
Overall excellent, a bit pricey. My only thought is that at this price one could expect better noise insulation to adjacent rooms and against street noise by better windows.

Well located, very clean and comfortable

Posted Nov 19, 2014
Pros: Nice beds, nice TV, relatively large rooms
Cons: Wifi Check in staff Noise isolation
Location: Theater district is 5 to 10 minutes walk Around are mainly high-standard fashion and jewellery stores... no groceries or mcdo arounds (>10 min walk)
Good overall stay. Well located in Bostion, although there are much more activities and restaurants in the Theater disctrict. Clean and large rooms. Wifi REALLY poor, often not working or slow. wired connection was better or wifi after 1am until 6am Walls are thin, you hear neighbors. Check-in staff did not make any specific effort to make us feel welcome...

Don't eat in the bar

Posted Nov 19, 2014
Pros: Doormen were the best
Cons: Food. Difficulty with door key
Location: Best location if you like tourist activities
Great location. Clean room. Don't eat in the bar. Food was cold. Service poor. Staff not interested in hearing there was a problem. Recommend booking the hotel but there are much better places to eat. Lovely doormen.

Great evening in Boston

Posted Nov 16, 2014
Pros: The breakfast was outstanding.
Cons: The pillows, too soft.
Location: You are in Boston! There are a tremendous amount of activities, shopping and eating choices.
The Taj is an excellent hotel close to Newbury Street and the Theater district, we saw "Annie" which was fabulous and it was great to be able to walk to the Hotel, instead of driving home to NH. It was a wonderful hotel for the night.

Great Hotel!

Posted Nov 10, 2014
Everything was great! The only issue we had was that our shower faucet wouldn't work correctly. The front desk solved the issue quickly and comped our breakfast up to $100. I'd gladly visit this hotel again.

Great Stay

Posted Nov 8, 2014
Pros: It was beautiful, clean, comfortable and the staff extremely friendly.
Cons: Have a coffee maker in the room
Location: The Taj is just across the street from the Public Garden and Boston Common. It is close to the Freedom Trail, lots of delicious restaurants & the T.
The hotel was in the perfect location for our tourist vacation and feet away from the T. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and efficient. Our neighbors were noisy and the hotel staff was able to quite them and gave us chocolate covered strawberries as an apology. Our stay was clean, comfortable and quite (after just one phone call). We could not have been happier with our stay at the Taj Boston, unless they had a coffee machine in the room.
