Amazing HotelPosted Sep 27, 2014
Cons: Housekeeping staff weren't very pleasant.
Location: Excellent mid city location near Copley Square, which has great shops, pubs, restaurant's etc.
They upgraded us before check-in and the upgrade room was amazing. Entire hotel was a great experience!!

Good location but way overpricedPosted Sep 25, 2014
The hotel lobby is like a convention center. No personality to the employees. The room is WAY WAY small an outdated. Had paint peeling off the ceiling, the bathroom was EXTREMELY small with the shower barely fitting one person! The rooms are VERY small and for the one night price tag we paid I was very dissapointed. And the valet services are $50 a night!!!! Ridiculous.

Fantastic staff and facilitiesPosted Sep 24, 2014
We were impressed from the moment we stepped out of our car and our bags were taken care of, I know this is nothing out if the ordinary but lately across the USA we have found people uninviting and unhelpful but not at this hotel. Everyone was lovely we felt really taken care of and our room was sensational, the breakfast buffet delicious and alot of choice. Loved it here will definitely return when next we visit Boston!

Hotel was under construction and was smelly, wildly loud throughout the entire evening, and the elevators were running at a snails pace throughout the day. Price reflected the construction price discount, but buyer beware, a fresh nights sleep is not in the cards at the Plaza Hotel!

Good location, smallest rooms ever!Posted Sep 24, 2014
I have visited Boston for business. Stayed at the Boston Plaza Hotel for 1 night. Although the location is good, you will see the smallest bathroom and the room as well. You cannot even take a shower in 1m square tub. Dont even try to turn around in the bathroom, 'cause u cant! There is no safe in the rooms. The position of TV makes you unavailable to watch. Great channels though. There is no small fridge in the room. And there is no bottle of water (not even with a surcharge)! I am not staying here once again for that price too!

Hotel of HistoryPosted Sep 24, 2014
Pros: The old fashion building
Location: Located very close to the Boston Common
Beautiful hotel with a lot of history however the rooms were a bit old though very clean and had everything we needed. No free Wi-Fi in the room.

Hotel Needs to be Refurbished, Cleaned and UpdatedPosted Sep 23, 2014
Cons: The hotel needs to be 1) refurbished to modern standards, 2) include internet in the price, 3) be maintained / cleaned
Location: The hotel is proximate to everything historical in downtown Boston!
For an expensive downtown hotel, this was a very disappointing experience. The room was dirty - dirt was noticeable in the wall and door trim in the bathroom. The room was not well maintained. Repairs to the wall and trim were made in a very haphazard way and looked terrible. The door to the room did not fit the door jam and would stick so much so you had to push / pull with much force. The heat in the room did no work (we did not report this because we did not need it after the first night, and the hotel staff did not ask me about our stay when we checked out). There was a fire alarm one night at approximately 2:00am. The alarm only sounded in the hallway and not in our room. I could barely make out the announcement from the hallway through the room to the door, and then only had a vague idea that there was an emergency and we needed to evacuate. As a heavy sleeper, it was hard to believe that the alarm does not go off in the room too. Their announcements that the alarm was over did come over a speaker in the room. The price for internet in the room was $12.95/night - in today's day and age, you've got to be kidding and at $286.20/night you would think that internet would be included. Additionally, though we did not use it, parking in the hotel was $48.00/day. Save your money and stay out away from downtown and take the subway or a taxi in - it will be cheeper and a much nicer stay!!!

Good location but very small room and bedPosted Sep 23, 2014
Cons: Size of bed and spruce up of bathroom
Location: Park, tours,shopping
Room was very small and I would not call the bed queen size as it was meant to be. Good location with restaurants in close proximity and really nice to have the park close by. We did a lot of walking and enjoyed our time in Boston. It would have been nice to have had free wi fi as other hotels on our trip have had available. Would probably not chose to stay at Park Plaza again would check out other options in the area.

Extremely DisappointedPosted Sep 22, 2014
Cons: See my experience above. They clearly only care about $$ and not the customer experience
I travel a lot and stay in a lot of hotels during the course of each year and have to say that my stay at the Boston Park Plaza was my worst experience in a long time. This includes: (1) unfriendly check in staff (2) attempts to try and put me in a double bed when I had reserved a Queen (3) being stuck in a room with a bed that folds into the wall (4) outdated and beaten up decor (5) noisy (6) incredibly overpriced. STAY HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
