Great location near Boston Public Gardens

Posted Jul 23, 2014
Pros: Location. Near to excellent parks: Boston Public Gardens and Boston Commons. Also, very near to a subway stop.
Cons: Free Wi-Fi needs to be offered throughout the hotel. Fix the leaky A/C units in rooms. Sound proof the rooms. Finish the remodel as soon as possible.
Location: Boston Public Gardens and Boston Commons - very serene and beautiful parks with lots of walking / jogging paths and benches as well as ponds.
Great location near the Boston Public Gardens and Boston Commons. Rooms are small, but comfortable. Staff friendly and efficient. Nice stay with a few concerns: 1. Room air conditioner leaked water making the carpet damp near window. 2. No free Wi-Fi unless you are willing to pay high daily rates or go down to the lobby. Free Wi-Fi should be standard in all major city hotel rooms this day and age. 3. Currently, the building is being remodeled outside so there was lots of early morning noise and scaffolds. 4. Overall noise level in room is high. You could hear people talking in the next rooms or in the hallway as if they were almost in the same room as you.

It is a nice hotel. However, the room was small.

Pros: Close to Amtrak.
Cons: Unsure.
Location: It was a distance from Fenway Park and the North End.
It was a short but relax experience. The staff was respectful and friendly.

Good location to visit Boston

Posted Jul 23, 2014
Pros: The location!
Cons: Sound proofing of the walls and cleanliness of the room.
Location: Close to stores, Fenway, Freedom trail and so much more.
Nice hotel that is very well located (close to Charles River for a nice jog and 15 min. walk to Fenway Park and a 5 min. walk to Boston Common). The hotel staff was very polite and professional. However the noise level between rooms is questionable (paper thin walls???). Stains on curtains and on floor questionable also. That being said, it was still worth the stay!

Mediocre hotel in good location

Posted Jul 22, 2014
Pros: Location is the best thing about this hotel.
Cons: Please, replace paper cups in the room with a glass! It's easy for almost US$250 a night!
Location is extremely good (close to Boston T, and walking distance from main points of interest). The rest - yuck! Dark tiny room which does not allow space to even open a suitcase. The bathroom was not only small, but absolutely uncomfortable and not very clean. When we asked to check whether the breakfast is included in the rate, a person at the reception said "nope" without even raising his eyes at us. I would expect that the answer would be "no, but if you would like you can have it for US$xxx in our cafeteria downstairs".

Nice historical hotel

Posted Jul 22, 2014
Staff was so friendly!!! The front desk upgraded is from Queen to King size bed. The bell boy outside was helpful in finding a seven 11 and the Arlington T stop. Only (minor) inconvenience was the hotel is under renovation (maybe the reason for low prices for such a luxurious hotel?) and the ice makers were not working on two floors. (Maybe they were empty and refilling?) Overall though, amazing hotel at a sweet price in a prime location steps from the public garden and Arlington T stop.

Cons: lighting in the main entrance sitting area.
Location: Way more than could possible be mentioned. The beautiful common park, The state house interior is a sight to see. The theater area, Quincy market.
We really enjoyed the hotel overall. We had requested and upgrade but as your e-mail stated we would know when we arrived. However it was not available. Our room was nice except for the size . It was not possible to sit and read in the room as there was no room to do so. You had to sit on the bed. The interior is very well kept. The main entrance sitting area could use more lighting. the rest of the areas were fine. We liked the closeness to everything. Everyone in the hotel staff was very nice and helpful if needed.

Everything was great except....

Posted Jul 22, 2014
The AC unit didn't seem to work. I know is only necessary a few months of the year in Boston...but going in July made the small amount of time spent in the hotel room less than comfortable. Other than that, the hotel was great, and we absolutely loved Boston!

This is a centrally located hotel in Boston.

Posted Jul 21, 2014
Pros: Location, very grand.
Location: Near Boston PUblic Gardens, the theater district, Copley Plaza and Trinity Church.
The staff was very nice and helpful. They upgraded us to a very large room and we had access to the hospitality suite. It was super clean and the hotel had been recently renovated. I'd recommend this hotel. Valet parking was good, if expensive, but that is the case in all of Boston.
