Nice hotel, older, off the beaten path

Posted Jul 22, 2014
Pros: The room was nicely decorated-small but perfectly maintained.
Cons: We had problems with the thermostat. Freezing unless we turned it off. Then it was stuffy.
Location: We walked to a couple of restaurants/ bars, and were able to walk to the stop for the tour bus we were using.
We had a good time here. Unique. The bar and restaurant are cozy, and are still being worked on. The location worked for us. I don't know much about Boston, so am not sure whether the West End might be a problem for some people.

Pros: Quiet. Nice bar and restaurant, good food.
Location: Close to subway and bus stops. Most attractions and sites were within walking distance. TD Garden, Little Italy just a few blocks away.
Staff was very helpful, pleasant, and enjoyable. If you're visiting from Wisconsin bring some cheese curds.

Red Sox trip.

Posted Jul 13, 2014
Pros: Style, cleanliness. Reception was great!
Cons: Parking! Absolutely horrible in this city. Terrible. Not the hotel's (?) fault.
Location: You won't get any closer to the Garden for the Celtics or Bruins. Maybe a ten minute walk up the street and around the corner to Fanueil Hall.
Our first stay, very nice comfortable quiet clean hotel. And very small. Typically European, we had a King in a very small but well appointed room. Bathroom tiny, but full bath with a great shower. If your only going to sleep there, this is a great hotel. Location a bit far from "Back Bay" and all that jazz, but Boston is a very walkable city. We'll go back some day.

No view, small room.

Posted Jul 2, 2014
Pros: Bathroom
Cons: Complimentary breakfast, larger rooms
Location: Faneuil Hall, shopping, restaurants, touring
We looked out into a parking lot. The location was close to Faneuil Hall and a lot of attractions. The room was smaller than my dorm room. I walked in and felt claustrophobic which was made even smaller when our family went in - 2 adults, 2 toddlers. The staff was friendly. The bathroom was nice.

First visit to Boston

Posted Jun 27, 2014
Pros: Very comfortable with a friendly atmosphere.
Cons: nothing.
Location: subway, restaurants, TD Gardens for hockey and basketball games, the Bell and Hand pub. Hanover street with all the Italian restaurants
The Boxer is in a perfect location for visiting Boston, particularly the North and West Ends. It is a boutique style hotel recently redone, yet with a historic look of Boston. We were able to walk to great restaurants, as well as access the subway. great!

Garbage Penthouse Floor

Posted Jun 26, 2014
Pros: There were 3 out of 4 staff members that have excellent customer service skills, Eden, K, and a gentlemen I did not get the name of.
Cons: Room size, not overbooking
Location: Great Location to the night life of Boston
Rooms are smaller than closets, stayed on the penthouse floor and it was approx. 12x12

Trendy comfort

Posted Jun 25, 2014
Super comfortable room and bed. Well thought out comforts like the gorgeous bathroom, privacy shades as well as darkening curtains on the windows, trendy decor with built in desk and plenty of good but not glaring lighting, plenty of electrical plugs for all our devices. Quiet but close to everything. Stayed three nights. Didn't take advantage of eating here though nice it was available. Certainly smelled good. Staff was very helpful. Fresh apples at front desk every day.

Hotel in center of Boston

Posted Jun 25, 2014
Location: The "North Side" of Boston, within walking distance, fun area and great restaurants Fenway park Walking tours
a. Good location, close to alot of places to walk to, good shower b. Front desk staff very unpleasant, made guests feel like we were bothersome just checking ing c. We had specifically called in advance to ensure we had a room with two beds, when we arrived there were no rooms with two beds, ended up with a bed and an uncomfortable pull out couch d. Rooms extremely small, little room even walk in room. e. No amenities other than basics f. For the cost of this hotel, definitely not worth it
