Nice hotel close to Harvard

Posted Apr 14, 2014
Excellent but expensive. Very convenient location if you have a business in Harvard. Good restaurant around hotel. Swimming pool was nice but quite small. I can recommend this hotel to my friends.

Nice hotel, 3 restaurants, but staff doesn't care

Posted Apr 9, 2014
I stayed here for a total of a month and the staff treated me like a stranger the whole time. They should have treated me like a regular and yet they never did. Only the room service did but reception was awful and they made me feel uncomfortable for weeks.

Expensive but lousy staff attitude thruout.

Posted Mar 31, 2014
Pros: Location.
Cons: Poor staff attitude thru the hotel. No greet or even head-up on check-in, Henriettas downright surly noticeable tension bn staff.Customer irrelevant.
Have stayed multiple times - limited choice in area. Staff attitude is a top dowm management issue and it shows throughout.

Classy hotel in Harvard Square

Posted Mar 30, 2014
Very nice and clean hotel in the heart of Harvard Square. Elegant enough, plenty of restaurants, fun bar, nice gym, inclusive valet, as well as very clean and comfortable.

Great hotel by Harvard Square

Posted Mar 18, 2014
I was in the area for a conference and decided that staying somewhere easily accessible to the Boston T and some good dining options as critical. The Charles Hotel popped up on my radar and was booked. Even though I made a mistake of booking two room with 1 King sized beds, a quick call to the Charles staff got one of my rooms changed toa 2 bed double.

Very Nice

The Charles is a very nice hotel. Clean, good amenities, great location in Harvard square. There are lots of good restaurants and bars very close by, and also a close T station. The only thing I didnt like is the beds and pillows were uncomfortable. Other than that, great hotel.

Great hotel in Cambridge

Posted Mar 16, 2014
Pros: Not only were the rooms great, but the location in Cambridge and the access to the great restaurants within the hotel was also very helpful for us.
Cons: We had trouble getting timely attention from a bellman when we were leaving.
Location: Harvard University - great if you have a student you are visiting.
We enjoyed our stay very much. Our only problem was that it was difficult to get a bellman to the room on a timely basis to help us leave. This made is difficult for us as one guest was in a wheel chair. Otherwise we loved the hotel.
