“Best for the bucks”

This is a Greater Boston YMCA. However, it functions like a small hotel with guests and staff you would find in a 2-3 star hotel in any city. Safe. Room was clean and refreshed daily with soaps, toiletries, towels, etc. No bugs. Will stay there again. One drawback -- 3rd Ave is not a thru street and Boston cab drivers do not know how to find it even with a GPS. Get in the cab with a map and a NY attitude.

GREAT stay! We truly enjoyed the harbor in Boston! The members of the hotel staff were very helpful and extremely pleasant to work with during our stay. The location was great and walking distance to most of the Boston sites and the metro station.

“Great basic hotel--would stay again in the future”

If you're just looking for the basics, this is it. Wanted to travel to the city but not pay high prices. Hotel was clean and quiet, and had free shuttle service to downtown that was a five minute drive. Would recommend to anyone and stay again if ever in Boston in the future.

“This is an affordable alternative to Boston in Charlestown. Excellent location near everything!”

Initially I was a bit leary to stay in Charlestown, not sure why, but as i did research I found the Constitution Inn to be a wonderful choice for accommodations. The price was right. The location was excellent. Walking distance to "Old Ironsides", Bunker Hill Monument and carry on along the Freedom Trail. Walk over the Charlestown Bridge to the North End area of Boston. There are other transportation choices. The room was well equipped and clean. There is someone at the front desk 24 hours. They were friendly and professional. Yes, like most places there is much construction going on around and about, but aren't most cities in constant flux after all. I give 4 stars to The Constitution Inn and do recommend it to anyone traveling to Boston. Perfect for families, couples or business folk.

“We loved it there!”

My husband and I were a little sceptical about going to a hotel that was located within the local YMCA. We were only spending a night in Boston in order to catch an early flight out the next morning. So we didn't need extravagance. We were pleasantly surprised. The room was very basic and clean. The bed was very comfortable. It is not the Ritz, but it is cozy and simple. We didn't want to leave! It is located in an absolutely wonderful neighborhood. Cooble streets, local shops and deli's, incredible views and wonderful old buildings. We honestly did not want to leave. We wanted to stay and explore the neighborhood. It is also close enough that you can walk from TD Garden if you like to walk and don't mind a 15 to 20 minute walk. We are already talking about taking our children down and exploring!

The bathroom both times we stayed was dirty. For example, hairs on the floor/sink... that is really gross. But the service is nice and they have the gym and a great location. The bed never was dirty. The first time we stayed, the room with the double queen beds had thing that didn't work. The phone had no dial ton, the sink didn't drain, etc. But the second time we stayed in the king bed room, everything was fine. Just not the cleanest.

“A1 for Location”

The hotel shares it's space with the YMCA; it, therefore, is not the Ritz,. However, for the price and location, it cannot be beat. I would certainly stay there again, take the ferry and/walk to the best sites in Boston.
