Perfect location, great hotel

Pros: The comfort and style as well as the location.
My wife picked this boutique hotel because of the price and location. It was exactly what we wanted. The hotel had great style and charm and we were easy walking distance to Fenway, shopping on Newberry. The hotel was close the the running path around the Charles River. We will definately return on our next visit to Boston.

Lovely, centrally located hotel.

Pros: Everything was so great, I can't even come up with one thing.
Cons: It didn't apply to me, but I would not stay here with small children.
Location: Exceptional.
My 19 year old son and I stayed here for 5 nights after he completed his first year of college. We were hear to learn about the City, visit friends and most of all catch a game at Fenway. The hotel is perfectly situation less than two blocks from a T station for the green line. We could get anywhere we wanted in just a few minutes. The suite set up of most of the rooms was wonderful. We had plenty of space and used the living room to entertain a few locals before dinner. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Even the smallest request was met within minutes. I would stay here every time I am in Boston and recommend it to anyone who asked.

Elegant and well situated
Posted Jan 26, 2013
Pros: Room, location, staff
Cons: Expensive continental breakfast
An elegant hotel. Room was beautifully appointed. Comfortable king bed. Modern bathroom--wish ours at home was this nice! The staff were extremely friendly. The hotel is on Commonwealth, an avenue with a shaded walk that reminds one of Paris. Wonderfully situated, a block and a half from the T (transit system), and a three minute walk to the Charles River. Also, two and a half blocks from Bukowski Tavern, a Mecca for craft beer fans. Only minor criticism is that the staff were not real familiar with the city.

Roommates reunion!
Posted Jan 21, 2013
My roommates and I lived a few doors down in the 70s, and the Eliot Lounge was our second home. The lounge is no longer there - excellent Clio and Uni now occupy its space, but we couldn't think of a better place to stay for our reunion.

Luxurious!

Pros: Concierge with a french accent. Fabulous linens and towels. Beautiful decor.
Cons: Staff appearance at Japanese restauraunt (see above).
Location: Great location. Newberry Street shopping.
I loved this hotel from the minute I walked in the front door. Accomodating staff...and the room! Beautiful decor, fabulous linens and towels. If I didn't love Boston so much I would have stayed in my room. The only thing out of sinc was some of the staff at the Japanese restauraunt. Wearing jeans? I would at least have them in black pants. It seemed odd that the doormen are in full uniform, and a waiter is wearing jeans (a nice shirt, however). That was the only thing that made things seem less than professional.

Pros: Spacious clean suite.
Location: Excellent location one block from green line subway.
We were in Boston with our daughter and booked a suite. The suite was very spacious. Our daughter slept on the sofa bed which was made up each day and was comfortable. The staff were courteous, welcoming and helpful.

The Eliot Hotel was very nice, clean and exactly what we needed. The room was very clean and spacious enough for all of our stuff. The staff are extremely helpful and the room price was extremely good value. I loved the jogging route map and cookies too.
