Having booked in Expedia we were given an inside room with poor daylight. Musty mildew smell from vent system which improved by running AC. Lovely lobby and two rescue Labrador Retrievers that greet guests in lobby. Apparently a tradition.

Elegant hotel close to Hynes Convention Centre

Pros: Location - amenities - staff
Cons: Nothing
Location: Perfect location for convention and shopping
Smoothest check in ever - clean renovated room - grand posh hotel lobby! Very friendly staff!! Would highly recommend to anyone, particularly if attending a congress at the Hynes Convention Centre just 10 minutes walk (three blocks) away!!

Elegant Hotel

Pros: Fairmont Gold Lounge
Cons: Answering the phone when you call the hotel
Location: Fenway
Very beautiful hotel. Grand yet comfortable. The rooms were clean, the lobby was beautiful. The Gold Lounge was great! Staff was very attentive and accomodating.

Really nice hotel with greatl location. Staff were very friendly and informative. The thing letting it down was having to pay for wi fi which I think is a joke when you can get free wi fi at Macdonalds but not at a 5 star hotel!

Fairmont Copley Place Boston

Pros: Location and great staff.
Cons: A/C system is too loud. The room price did not the reflect the quality of the room and its location in the hotel.
Location: Great central location allowing you to walk to great shopping, restaurants, amazing parks, and museums.
The hotel has an excellent location and great courteous and very helpful staff. The room was fairly spacious with nice old school tall ceilings. There was only one sofa chair in the room so if two wanted to sit and talk one person had to either sit on the bed or on "office" chair part of a cluttered desk arrangement. The bathroom had no fan which would be OK if the window opened ... which it didn't. The ice bucket along with two water glasses were hidden in the bar fridge which was difficult to open let alone find. Thankfully a very helpful housekeeping staff person showed how to open the fridge and find the ice bucket. The bathroom door had been painted so often that to close and open it to say the least was a challenge. The A/C in the room ran continuously and was just plain loud, although it helped to drown out some of the sound of garbage trucks retrieving bins at 3:30 am from the rear of the huge office building which our room faced. There were also service vehicles backing up to the office building with their "beep-beep" warning devices going off at all times of the day. On a positive note, the hotel itself has been beautifully restored in the public and dining areas. Considering the daily rate of this hotel when compared to similar upper level hotels, I would have expected more in the hotel room itself.

Nice to VIsit a Classic Hotel

Pros: The staff! It was cheaper. I didn't realize this was graduation week with something like $450 for the Fairmont, $525 Westin I am used to staying.
Cons: Breakfast was ok. Room could have been "business usable."
Location: Great access to restaurants and shopping.
The staff was great ... on arrival, on checkin, on bags to the rooms, for directions, for help in shopping, in getting cash, at the breakfast area, in getting the valet car, in getting baggage out to an dinto car, in gettin gdirections to the freeway. Wish they had a Boston Paper, the Globe still available when I had breakefast. The room was annoying. Hard to find places to rechard iPhone and IPad, but worse they pitched "plug in your stuff here" and in the morning both devices were out because the plug itself was NOT PLUGGED in, Had to get down on my hands and knees and crawl around to find it and plug it in. Try to find the way to turn on the general lights in the room. A switch? nope hidded switches on each unit. Nuts.
