Great overnight stay in the heart of Boston,

Posted Jan 15, 2015
We had a great overnight stay in the lovely old Copley Plaza, which still has one of the most attractive lobbies anyway (only out done by the Fairmont Peace Hotel in Shanghai). We were greeted by their two resident black labs with tail wagging, which immediately made us feel welcomed. We liked not having to leave the hotel on a cold night and had a delicious dinner and wine, selected with the help of a very experience staff member originally from Cuba, which we coincidentally will soon be visiting.

Across street from Westin and network of enclosed spaces, so easy access to big malls, other hotels. Very nice club floor, beautiful lobby.

Hotel in the heart of the city

Posted Dec 30, 2014
Pros: Everything
Location: Had dinner one night at Red Lantern and the second night at Da Vinci, all walking distance from the hotel. Walk around Boston Commons and Newbury.
The suite was amazing with views of Copley Square with The Oaks Bar & Lounge with fantastic food, atmosphere and people watching

Lots of bling

Posted Dec 5, 2014
Pros: Very central. Right on Copley square.
Location: Close to the convention centre and the attached mall. Right on Copley square. Buses to and from the airport arrive and leave from Copley square.
The lobby hurt my eyes as I entered, the glare from gilt fittings, chandeliers and marble were a bit much that late at night. Nice hotel though. Not sure what the story was with the two friendly dogs they keep near reception, but they were okay. It's an older hotel but the rooms have been updated, so it was fine. Boston is expensive, I got a reasonable deal through expedia though.

Very old and worn out

Posted Nov 10, 2014
Heating was old and very loud. Very uncomfortable to sleep. The room's view was what you would expect in a tenement.

Elegant, historical and comfortable

Soaring ceilings in the lobby with old world artisan finishings, a smiling and smart greeting at reception, spacious rooms, comfy bed and fluffy pillows. Convenient local to Pru and Back Bay.
