Nice Hotel, no frills, but cute and cozy.

Posted Apr 6, 2015
Pros: Cozy, cute. Service staff is super helpful and nice.
Cons: Included breakfast (if your rate includes it) is a bit too simple (a la Hampton Inn). It could use a bit spiffing up.
Location: Legal Sea Foods is right across the street and MIT is around the corner. The T stop is literally across the street and can walk (in a nice day) to BOS
This is really good place to stay in Cambridge. My only not-so-positive comment would be about the garage: it is tight and accommodates only a few cars. Even then, you can always park across the street in a city garage for a few bucks. All and all a very nice alternative in Cambridge, specially if visiting MIT for kids or business reasons.

College visits

Pros: The hotel was splendid in all aspects! The observatory on the roof provided an incredible view of the city.
Cons: The hotel's heating system was quite robust - needed a little 'coolness' at night which was helped by the cool breeze at night...
Location: Near everything - MIT, Harvard, Boston, all historical sites. Superb restaurant on site.
Great hotel. The staff were very accomodating, the hotel was clean, the decor had a lot character, the breakfast was outstanding, and it is easy to get to with the t-stop just down the street.

A great stay, centrally located

Posted Mar 26, 2015
Pros: Quiet, comfortable, very clean and reasonably priced.
Cons: The Kendall Hotel is not alone in needing a significant upgrade to their television system - it's beyond time to go HD.
Location: Location in tech center of Kendall Square/MIT is very interesting but you will have to travel for a wider offering of restaurants and entertainment.
A warm and welcoming property with easy access to transportation around the beautiful city of Boston. It's location in a refurbished Firehouse adds an extra helping of the history to your visit of one of America's oldest cities.

Unique facility, originally a firehouse

Posted Mar 24, 2015
Pros: Very comfortable, nicely appointed hotel.
Cons: Staff could be friendlier.
Location: Not much to do in the very immediate area, but less than half a block from the T (public transportation).
Facility is decorating in keeping with its firehouse origin. Very clean, excellent room furnishings, towels luxurious, interior very well done. Housekeeping does an excellent job. Staff is somewhat unfriendly.

Nice historic hotel

Hotel is clean and comfortable. Good location next to an T station. Breakfast buffet is good. We could hear and feel the subway at times but it was not enough to be disturbing. Staff is pleasant.

Great location, pleasant ambiance

Posted Mar 11, 2015
This is my 'go-to' hotel, when the prices aren't sky-high due to some event in town. The location is a half block from my office at One Broadway, and the T is steps away. The restaurant downstairs is 3-4 star, and convenient when you don't feel like braving the weather to go elsewhere. Great breakfasts, and the 5-6 PM wine tasting is a nice touch. The hotel staff is pleasant and accommodating. I wasn't as happy with my top floor room since it had only a single window raised way above the floor, so too much of a 'closet' feel. Most of the other rooms I've stayed in don't have this problem and are great. Recommended.

Nice boutique hotel in central Cambridge.

Posted Mar 5, 2015
Pros: Decor, welcome, location, price, wifi, access to gym, rooms.
Cons: Water coolers on each floor, rather than just the lobby.
Location: Central Cambridge. Close to MIT facilities, restaurants and bars.
A very nice, welcoming hotel in central Cambridge. Pretty eclectic decor, which gives it a sense of "Around the World in 80 Days". Restaurant was informal but terrific. The hot breakfast buffet was generous. Free wifi. And access to a gym two blocks (5 minutes walk) away. I'd come here again.
