Classy old Boston Hotel, nicely kept up

Posted Jul 23, 2015
Pros: The classy old architecture and the friendly and accommodating staff. If something wasn't right, they took care of it immediately.
Cons: Short of a major renovation to increase room size, not much.
Location: Centrally located in Back Bay area. Copley square, Newbury Street, Boston Marathon finish, all in a one block radius. Close to easy public transit.
This is a old hotel but has been nicely maintained and kept up. The staff was the most attentive I have ever encountered in a hotel and were very accommodating. Clean and reasonably priced with a nice central location in the Back Bay area. It is a half-block from the Boston Marathon finish line. Rooms were very clean although a bit small, typical of a hotel that age. Bathroom was tiny but manageable.Beds clean and comfortable. I would recommend this hotel and stay here again.

Traditionsreiches Hotel in Top-Lage

Posted Jul 19, 2015
Pros: Lage, Ausstattung, Kinderfreundlichkeit (2mal tolle Stofftiere für jeden Kind erhalten!!), Personal sehr professionell.
Cons: Nein
Location: Beste Lage (Back Bay), vereint Moderne mit Historie. Boston Common und Charles River sehr nahe. Empfehlung: "Boston Duck Tours" startet um die Ecke.
Sehr schönes Hotel in zentraler Lage (Back Bay Viertel), viele Sehenswürdigkeiten zu Fuß erreichbar, tolle Restaurants. Personal sehr zuvorkommend. Gute Breakfast / Dining Möglichkeit im Hotel. Bei Mietwagen Valet Parking (mit Zusatzkosten) am besten fest miteinplanen.

Classic hotel as Boston headquarters

Posted Jun 7, 2015
The Lenox enjoys an excellent location just a few steps from the T's Copley station and Copley Square. Though the views from our rooms (we booked 3) were nothing to rave about, the hotel's interior was imbued with old world elegance. The rooms were comfortable and included modern amenities such as large flat-screened TVs and free wi-fi. While complimentary morning tea and coffee were provided in the lobby, it would have been nice to have had an in-room coffee maker. The staff was wonderful. They were friendly, helpful, and seemed to have our best interests in mind. What a welcome change that they also seemed to enjoy their work! We were given the wrong keys to one of our rooms initially, but this was quickly remedied and the front desk was very pleasant. We enjoyed two breakfasts at City Table and were particularly impressed by one of our waiters who had been with the hotel for many years. Our experience at City Bar was o.k. We enjoyed the atmosphere; but my Tom Collins was off and the bartender was not particularly attentive or friendly. Your experience will depend on your bartender. You can also walk a block to the Oak Room bar at the Fairmont. My son used the fitness room and was pleased with the equipment (including ellipticals) and generous water and towels. The hotel is in the city, so expect some city sounds, including an occasional street musician nearby. I loved being able to walk to nearby Newbury Street with its many restaurants and shops, or hop on the T.

What an excellent Hotel

Posted May 31, 2015
Pros: Everything, it is a hotel that takes care of its customers in the right way.
Cons: Nothing
Location: Next door to the world famous Boston library, a couple of blocks from Newbury Street, this is where the posh shops and restaurants are.
This an excellent hotel to stay in and we were well looked after. It is situated in a suitable location which is just next door to the wonderful library and a couple of blocks from Newbury Street where all the restaurants and shops are. The hotel facilities are great, they have free Wi-Fi, gym, tea and coffee in the mornings for guests in the lobby and the staff cannot do enough for you. I would recommend if to anyone that is visiting Boston.
